I usually enjoy it. They owe me 41 minutes of my life back for the AMA discussion this week.
The pointless bickering can be a bit too much at times. It is not really a discussion, just contradiction.
The first time I listened to I was a bit surprised how hard Kellen was going at Pelletier. Even Lewis thought so too.
Listening to it a second time I think what he was getting at was the riders have lost confidence in Mike. It was truthful reporting by Kellen, we are just not used to such direct opinions . Usually Steve and friends dance around such topics a bit so they keep a decent relationship with guys like Mike Pelletier. And even then Steve, ML and big Lew seem to piss off the people in power.
Pissy Lewis is impossible to listen to...
Once Kellen started to complain about airports and rental cards i stopped listening. Too many other good shows.

Kellen was actually doing real reporting and Lewis was playing stupid. All these stupid ass choices by the AMA are bc of gambling.
Lew is a tough listen. Limited doses for sure
I’m opposite. I normally really like big Lew on all his ama stuff and especially lvk.
This is hard to say because I really like all the content Big Lew puts out but on the LVK show I usually feel bad for Kellen. He has good opinions on most things and acts and talks very professional but Lewis jumps on him way to much as being an idiot with some of his opinions. He comes off as a jerk.
I know he says we as in Americans don't understand his humor but I think he goes too far with Kellen.
I love the MX GP Podcast with Adam Wheeler. Lewis doesn't act like that with Adam. Maybe it's a respect thing.
I love LVK but this week was a tough listen, Kellen and his transparency on his opinions deserve mad love though. He’s quietly been creating good moto content for I want to say nearly a decade now
If that's conjecture and you don't have hard evidence then that's ridiculous to say. And Kellen most certainly didn't allude to that.
Are you guys just bitching about Lewis because he's a Brit? Seriously. I mean I don't get it. I don't think Kellen is as in tune as some others in the Moto media but i wouldn't disrespect him either. Do you guys realize in this current era of Moto media we have so much good content? Soo many good podcasts etc. The broadcast is soooo much better than ever. But we complain about the dumbest shit..
Other than Lewis' public dis of Tomac nonstop " LOL " he's still really good. And respectful. His MXGP coverage is still spot on. Good grief already
Lewis on MXGP Podcast: 🤗
Lewis on VitalMX Podcast: 🤓
Lewis on LVK: 🙄
Where do you see people saying it’s because he’s a Brit?
Personally, I just find him hard to listen to and too cringey most of the time. He’s certainly put out some really good stuff that I’ve enjoyed, but he is just not my cup of tea. I’m obviously in the minority, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Claiming people don’t Lewis like just because he’s British is low hanging fruit.
Haha this. Feels like by the time Lewis gets to LVK he is cooked from repeating the same points while Kellen is keen to get his viewpoint across and takes it a lot more seriously than Lewis has patience for.
I still enjoy LVK each week though. Lewis’s style is good, maybe the level of sarcasm he runs with is a bit tough for some of the American listeners but pretty common here in Aus. I also think Kellen does a good job keeping things on track and has a great voice and tempo for Pods but sometimes is too stuck on a technicality.
I like Kellen but Lewis talks to him like he's dumb sometimes. This one I had to turn off.
I disagree, I enjoy Lewis but not the other guy.
I'll admit that this week's show wasn't my best. I'm not even sure why.
I stand by the fact that it was 'wrong' for Kellen to shout about Mike Pelletier not talking publicly, when neither of us asked him to address it.
I thought the listeners deserved that transparency/honesty from us (even if it shows we didn't do our job properly). Seemingly, I was wrong.
It just seemed like Kellen caught you off guard with having such a bold take and I agreed with you on challenging him on if he went about the correct journalistic process in regards to putting forth his take.
Again, re-listening to the show helps me understand Kellens take better....but still...,it did come across as out of character aggressive for Kellen.
It was a good show and I commend you for not escalating the situation with road rage guy. 😀

Love you big Lew but I still think you didn’t get the point he was trying to make. He explicitly said he asked Mike to go on record after the first incident and he said no. Why would he keep asking when the vibe is clear that Mike won’t discuss.
I love Lewis I think he’s hilarious. Goes a little far with the Chase thing sometimes but I still think he’s funny
I’m amazed you were able to listen to that show twice….
Kellen is great. He has been working up outside of the normal industry ladder and that is why i think he actually has balls to say what everyone with no conflict of interest has the balls to say.
from @pulpmx on X today, which seems to back up Kellens point

All the media guys intentionally tread on egg shells when criticising the AMA to keep their access. It's not good because we never get a honest raw opinion. It always starts or ends with " I like Mike, Ezra and all the guys at AMA but..." covering their asses.
Kellen is guilty of this aswell but I think he got frustrated enough to blatantly call out the circus. Pelletier should be criticise. He's the top dog. He is responsible. Kellen said he's got a history of evading questions on record especially when it's controversial. But Lew was like "but did you ask Mike THIS TIME? Oh you didn't? Then what you're saying is irrelevant". It's a ridiculous counter argument.
You've become one of the premier journalists in our sport. This week's show LVK seemed to not get to the core of the apple and slogged along bickering, with no real exchange of actual information, insight, or original opinion. It was beneath you. I have no right to judge your performance, but it was a tough listen.
Kellen was pointedly direct in his blame for the shitshow with rulings as of late, and rightfully so. Not sure why Lewis had such an issue with Kellen's references to the past that built on his point, they aided in the overall point Kellen was making, regardless of how long ago they occurred or if they were similar to ruling issues in other motorsports like F1.
I also thought Lewis' take on how comfortable everyone is in the paddock seemed ironic, given that he was so hesitant to put the blame on Pelletier specifically, even though Pelletier is the AMA director of racing. If the ruling was determined by someone under Pelletier, it's ultimately on Pelletier as he's in the lead role responsible for these rulings. It came across like he didn't want to put blame on him specifically as to not burn the bridge, seemingly proving his own point.
I disagree. If you think Pelletier is a puppet master and personalities like Ezra Lusk simply fall in line, then I can't see it.
If I wanted to be comfortable, I'd have jumped on the Pelletier bandwagon rather than making additional people mad...
Also, including references from the past, I do remember Detroit 2025 differently.
Pelletier came to our scrum and said "I haven't spoken to everyone involved yet so it'd be unfair to do media, but I did want to explain the ruling to you quickly." That's a step up from what we've ever had. I guess, because my memory doesn't fit the narrative, we ignore that though.
I was about to basically say this but you already said it. Lewis seemed to be afraid to call out pelletier so his access didnt get canked, while simultaneously saying everybody is too chummy.
I enjoy both. Some shows more than others, like anything else I suppose.
I listened to that segment of the podcast yesterday. It’s unclear to me if you are just debating a contrary view but it seems you aren’t grasping the fact that as director Pelletier absolutely is accountable. He doesn’t answer to anyone else in the area of race rules and decisions. If people in his team are doing things independently of him that’s also his problem.
