Portrayed personality aside, Deegan is having an impressive start on 450s. He is unfortunately being compared to two guys who are just that much more impressive. Haiden set high expectations with his cockiness but if we are fair, his performance is impressive.

Agreed. I absolutely cannot stand Deegan. But he is a bad dude on a bike and very impressive with what he is doing so early in his 450 career in terms of pace and consistency.

I think it is weird that Degan wouldnt go. If that is a Yamaha thing then get it - but a bummer. But if Degan went and just raced his heart out without a win, he would gain fans. And if he won - it would be nuts how big his fan base would be. and the team should be 450 Degan, 450 J-Coop and 250 Kitchen. Go USA!!

It's a massive shit show honestly. I'd say Townsville will have no Jnr racing same as Auckland. As far as being on the same weekend as MXDN I don't think it will make a difference.

Mason raced MX on his youth years , raced MXD and even MX2 one year maybe? He raced for the Davey’s Motorsport KTM if i remember correctly before going to off-road. Joel hasn’t raced for so long, probably 2016 or 2017. He was impressive at the 2 stroke nats.

Unfortunately the rule is very clear…track cut is one position and gaining a position is also one position. Seth cut the track = one position loss and then he gained a position which = the other position loss….For Dylan he didn’t gain a position with his cut so it only = one position. The AMA got it right.

3/24/2026 6:52pm I don’t know much other than watching him at the Aus Supercross rounds last year. He was a lot smaller than most of the other top riders in that class but he was so silky smooth and ran them all down while barely looking like he was trying. Very talented kid.

Webster has been solid at nations the past couple of years no doubt. But arguably Beaton has been equal if not the faster rider of the two over that time too. 2024 they both finished on equal points but Webster won on a win count back, and 2025 Jed had the red plate coming into the final round and broke his femur mid week. So some shitty luck on his part, but it's a good problem to have for Australia in terms of rider choice
