If he is lucky it didn't get lose. Have had that. Lose teeth is one of those worse thing you can have. Can't eat properly, can't have your mouth closed without the tung hitting the tooth moving it around. Difficult to sleep. Takes several weeks to fix it and to get a replacement.

Guessing he misspoke and used knocked out for partially chipped. In any case this sucked bad and now he need to have it capped.

I’m an endodontist, I see tooth trauma all the time. Best case is to get the tooth crowned/veneer and move on. Problem is matching a single front tooth crowned/veneer to adjust teeth is extremely difficult. 

Worst case is an unpredictable root fracture. What I mean is a small crack that extends below the gums/bone. 

IMO what I saw on the videos I think he will end up with just a veneer or crown. Hopefully it didn’t extend into the pulp or deeper. 

Personally I have had my notes requested from patients a handful of times for legal reasons. Everything from car accidents to McDonald McMuffin caused a broken tooth (it didn’t). I haven’t been an expert witness in a lawsuit so I can’t comment on him suing the AMA. Best advice I was given in residency “stick to the facts”. The facts would be that his tooth likely presents consistent with facial trauma resulting in a crown fracture may/may not extending to the pulp requiring root canal and crown.
