I remember two things from 2023 when they've raced each other. One was Hunter standing up for him and defending Deegan at a SX post race press conference and then a Gypsy interview where despite Deegans trashtalk during outdoors he only spoke in high regards about Hunter, said "he has to learn from the best and specially racing someone as talened as Hunter helps him etc". I actually feel relieved for him. Dude had brain surgery and lost a spleen. He was never accused of lacking effort, and he came back from major injuries as good as anyone has ever done it. He would win right away.

He was on rails today. And the turn down over the leap was awesome.

I was fortunate to be in Germany 84 - 86. I went to 500GP at Namur both years. The best look I have ever seen was David Thorpe in 86 on the Works RC500 in M.Robert gear. One of my best shots I have ever taken.
