Is Gasgas done?

I haven’t heard anything from ktm but Gasgas still has 2025 models on their webpage. It’s a bummer if they get rid of that line they are the only brand that makes red mini’s and they had a huge line up.

Killing the trials line and Spanish factory is a bigger loss than red plastics IMO

I don’t know how a parent company making 3 versions of the same bike with different plastics wouldn’t be destined for failure in this small market.

Yep, the only way it would’ve made sense if there was a distinct difference between the brands.

That, and the difference should have gone far enough to keep them out of the same segments. Something like this might have worked:

KTM = Moto
Husqvarna = Offroad and Trail
GASGAS = Trials and MTB

MTB probably still fails. The market is massively saturated with a lot of failures these days. GASGAS could have been THE 2-stroke brand perhaps. Moto, Trials, offroad... all the smokey models.

There are 2026 models in dealers now and have been for at least a month.

Husqvarna was supposed to be the premium brand and have distinct motorcycles from the others. But Pierer and the the profit of brand engineering ala General Motors couldn’t be resisted. For cars it’s okay, as the body work hides the engine. They all looked like KTM’s to me. Why not add CZ, Bultaco and Maico.

Damn.  If I were the CEO of whatever the Hell that Taco stand is called now, I'd give you a damn fine salary increase, promotion with a large office window, a hot blonde secretary, and praise  you worldwide for the magic formula that would have saved the company from all the bullshit we have all watched for the last 2 years.  Yes, your idea is that good.

Well said Sir.  Well said.

I agree...most trial bikes (Sherco, Scorpa, Vertigo, Montesa, JTG...) are manufactured here... teams, riders, technicians, areas, auxiliary industry... withdraw GasGas trial production from Spain? maybe the Pierer's intention is for it to disappear gradually....

The GasGas bikes were supposed to compete with the Japanese on price, and they didn't really with the discounts Japanese bikes give.

I question my business acumen because I thought downgraded components and a premium price would be a winning combination

Gas gas was perfect for Honda riders in denial over Hondas complete abandonment of 2 Strokes…long live the best SX bikes of ALL TIME! IMG 1888 1

With the KTM FE's now coming with kit suspension and closing the gap to a factory bike, I see GasGas staying around as the affordable KTM for the masses. Product separation is what they were lacking and seems they are working on that.

Still hanging onto one. Won’t ever sell. It’s not even that great of a bike but loved the brand.

Is there any possible way Rieju can recover the GG branding rights if KTM dissolves the brand?

But with three brands the group can put a husky dealership next to your KTM shop and a GG shop across the street.

It would be nice if dealers could do warranty/recall work on all 3 brands.  Had to drive 2 hours for a recall on my Gas Gas when I have a KTM dealer 20 minutes away.
