WSX was amazing in 2025, and I think most of us can agree it was some of the best Supercross racing we’ve seen all year. The first three rounds were fun just getting to see top-tier riders race, but I honestly enjoyed the title fight between Anderson, Savatgy, and Craig just as much.
Surprisingly, it didn’t matter to me that it wasn’t Jett Lawrence vs. Eli Tomac battling it out at the end for a championship. It was simply fun to watch. As a fan, thinking about Joey Savatgy not wanting to let another championship slip away and really going for it made it even more entertaining.
In Lewis’s interview with Tom Burwell (WSX CEO), he was pretty adamant that WSX would never be profitable, and that nobody would really care because the top-level riders aren’t competing.
Not having it immediately go to split screen after the first turn is VASTLY superior. Thats the way AMA sx used to be and its sooo much better. Just focus on one battle at a time and flip between as needed and do a replay when necessary. Simpler is better. Not to mention on ama sx its not full split screen theres a bunch of dead space around the pictures too. Get rid of that crap! Nobody watching this tonight wished that there was split screen.
Lewis point on the stadium size is valid, Vancouver and Capetown's massive stadiums didnt look full, where the 27k gold coast stadium looked packed,
it was good racing, and the show an improvement on previous years, hopefully it continues,
Exactly, split-screen is way overdone. I want to watch the race on my 65” TV, not two different races on ~30” screens.
Pump the brakes a little. It can be a legitimate professional series without having to prove its better than AMA SX, which it is not.
Let's just be happy that there's some good racing in the fall and that deserving riders can make more money doing what they love.

Just strap a go-pro to each rider and switch between where the action is. It's by far the most exciting view of the race.
I’ll say this…
This year’s series was entertaining.
Wether or not it’s profitable is probably beyond Lewis’s comprehension since he’s not privy to what some of the sponsors, host cities & other contributors are paying.
I will give props to the operators of WSX for their logistics savvy: getting all that equipment transported from continent to continent “on the weekly” ain’t easy.
I enjoyed the WSX series and look forward to next year! That said, I believe the main reason for entertaining racing (South Africa and Australia specifically) was the hard flat surface vs ruts. In turn, this was the main catalyst for close racing.
Are you high?
🤪
Yeah, besting the former seasons was one tough challenge.
😂
You don't really need a split screen when the riders who can provide a little action anyone might care about are two/three, tops.
😉
Judging by the amount of downvotes you’re getting, I’d say most users have actually listened to and read Lewis’ thoughts carefully on the series in places where he’s been critical. Downright he’s never said the series wasn’t good or won’t be profitable, he’s pointed out things they can work on and also things he’s enjoyed about it.
I’ve enjoyed it to an extent this year as well, but I say that as it’s been a fun distraction. Not even close to the same level of investment or time I put into the series here, and while the racing was good at times, it also doesn’t hold the weight or memory that a MXGP or US series doesn’t this point. This part of the conversation gets into personal opinion quite heavily and you’ll find people who agree and disagree with how much the series means to them at this point in time, and that’s fine.
It will be a true test to see the level of interest if it comes up against a national next year as Tom has suggested
We know they’re not going to get any championship contenders but seems they have the money to get guys just off that pace. Lots of guys doing limited mx schedules now so it makes more sense.
Prior to this year, it’s just been an off-season novelty. But honestly, the racing this year drew me in a bit and I planned my day around watching. Hadn’t done that before. So yeah, the program elevated to something better in my opinion. No, it’s not the level of SMX or MXGP, but it was fun and a lot of the racing was excellent. SX1 race 3 today was a perfect example, enjoyable!
I agree with what you’re saying, but you guys are spoilt for elite level racing in the States.
International fans generally don’t get to see top level SX in person, and while it’ll never match AMA SX, most of us want WSX to succeed for that increased opportunity.
Comparisons are inevitable, but it’s not a level playing field. Five rounds in five continents in six weeks is no mean feat!
The best racing we have seen this year 😆 . Sorry stopped reading from there down.
So it’s not just reading comprehension we’re having trouble with. Now it’s failing to understand the English language in general. How did you come to that conclusion about Lewis from that interview?
Pit Row
It's been fun to watch, certainly not as involving as AMA racing. But the different track surfaces, different formats, Gypsy Tales and Blair announcing was a cool difference and alternate refreshing take. Honestly looking forward to this serie's future.
I’ll have to listen back to the Tom interview to see where I said it’ll never be profitable.
Hey LP, you didn’t say any such thing. Go get a couple more Tacos and skip this thread !
The product is pretty dang good. I really enjoyed the broadcast.
They have to figure out the schedule and venue issues but I have enjoyed the races.
They are going in the right direction each year, if they can focus on being the off season series and not try to compete with AMA or MXGP they are on the right track to get it right.
I loved the US Open at the MGM Grand, the Paris SX, more recently the AUS SX races. But if we can combine the various off season races into a "legit" series and give us a third "season" of racing that would be a winning formula I think.
Love seeing Anderson get some seat time on the Suzuki in race mode, he was sending it! Hopefully that gives him the confidence and setup knowledge to make him a contender in 2026. He had a rough last year, so awesome to see the fire back.
He barely beat a 10th place ama sx guy for the title. I like him as well but I don't see many top 5s in ama sx.
If I was living in SA, with SX previously only available on TV, I'd have been stoked with last night's event. The El Hombre/ Savatgy battle was superb.
That's the value of the WSX tour - taking SX to people who don't normally have access to live SX. It doesn't have to compete with, or be 'better' than, the USA domestic series. It just has to be high level with some star riders.
I've only ever watched Sweden and SA, but based on that I'd say they are succeeding in their mission.
Thats what I’m worried about. Theyre already talking about running a couple races next year during the ama outdoors. I dont think its time yet to try this again, right now theyre in their nice niche and its working out. This is probably the first year where its seemed like the whole series worked from start to finish. They should get a couple more successful seasons before stepping on toes again imo.
Agreed. Would love to see 1 US round somewhere unique. Similar to the old US Open. College baseball stadium would be cool.
Lewis might have gotten his numbers from Kooksey. Kooksey knows the books inside and out.........
Could have been a decent thread, but then you made it into a negative post about Lewis... What are you trying to prove? That WSX was good, or that everyone should hate Lewis as much as you do?
The racing was awesome, especially the last round.
