Jett almost yard sailed a couple of times over the last bump heading into the woods too.  He was taking a super fast line where he bounced to the top and skipped over the jump, got cross rutted a couple of times.  After his last scare in moto 3 he quit doing it, and backed it down a bit.  Guy is unreal.  The slowest and smoothest looking insanely fast dude I have ever seen.  Always makes me think he has a couple seconds more per lap in the tank if needed.

Also spoke to a few Aussies there that seemed to have some knowledge of Websters Honda deal. They said his total income was about $300k in 2025 with all his bonuses.  That could certainly be way off, but that is what they had heard...

That's a pretty respectable income for a top MX guy in Australia.

Every year you talk about Deegan winning - haven't seen it yet.  First he has to turn up and then, do you really think he is better than Jett and/or Hunter on 250.  Put your drink down.

I don't know if he is gonna be the goat, but Jett is the most complete rider in the history : technique, speed, physical abilities, track lecture, racecraft, starts. This guy has no weaknesses, it's terrible for the others.🤯😵‍💫

Sounds like Sacha Coenen was riding with a friend broken arm in moto 2. Last after lap 1 and made it back to 21st. The bad news is that the result didn't even count because it was their highest score

After putting all the datas on the forum and watching the races this morning (couldn't do it before), here is thoughts I have :

- Jett is the most complete rider of all time (and I don't put any hesitation in that statement) : start, technique, speed, racecraft, track lecture, physical abilities. Everyone has weaknesses, but he doesn't...

- Hunter's evolution is slow but constant. He is getting better every year, and he is getting tough to beat as well in normal conditions.

- Lucas will be (depending on De Wolf on the 450) the fastest euro rider in years to come. He has weaknesses that the Lawrence dont have though (too emotional, think and don't rush). He needs to focus more on analyzing and less on where he belong maybe ? If that make sense, ride with head and then it's gonna be pitch perfect.

- Kyle is the weak spot of Australia because the Lawrence are amazing, but after 2 nations I don't doubt him anymore, not being as good as Hunter/Jett doesn't make him bad AT ALL. He's been tested twice and as he was hard to classify among the other pro because he doesn't race AMA or MXGP constantly. But he is racing at a very high level and he is a solid experienced racer, one of the best in the world that is not racing one of the 2 big championshis. Special mention to his dedication to MXON as he chose to come here while his wife was about to give life 10 000 miles away from Crawfordsville.

- Eli is as good as he was, that's what moto 2 showed me. Railing outsides and pushing the limits, take away the Lawrence and he finish 1st in the last moto and no one would question his speed, he'll still be AMA top rider. The perfection of Jett and Hunter just enlighten the imperfection of Eli. Pushing is impressive, but if you don't have the best bike set-up and the good lecture of the track, then it is not enough to be 1st again...

- Mathis Valin was one of the highlights here. His last few years were a big evolution for him, each winter he was passing big steps :
2022-2023 -> top 10 EMX125 to winning EMX125 races with amazing speed.
2023-2024 -> Fast EMX125->EMX250 champion right away with winning a lot at the end of the season
2024-2025 -> EMX250 champ to MX2 consistent top 5.
This year has been the toughest on him (between 2021 to 2024 he was literaly gaining 3 seconds a lap every winter, that is just freaking impressive) and as he did well in some races, I expected him to be a touch better. I feel like he came back to life on that 1st moto despite his motorcycle not being the best. Well done to him, he is the only french racer that overperformed from my expectations this week-end.

I'm gonna stop here but also props to : Tim Gajser, Jo Shimoda, Jan Pancar (!), Liam Everts and Kay De Wolf!

Very difficult to compare, but at the end of the day, I would say that Lawrence is a more complete rider than Bayle was. Especially outdoors.

And Bayle won a title without winning a single race.  He was consistent and elite, but not dominant like Jett is.

Kyle Webster being 29, who might replace in the next couple years to complete the Lawrence ?

Minear ? Cannon ? Owens ? Anyone else coming ?

Aussies, if you have an answer to that🙂😉

I've seen Deegz live plenty of times. I was really impressed by De Wolf and the Coenens, seeing them for the first time. Haiden isn't smoking those guys. It would be a good race. No chamce he would beat Lucas on a 450. I found De Wolf to be the most exciting to watch. Tall and lanky with lots of body english

It was looking like Jed Beaton would get the nod this year and was leading the 450 class in MX until a broken leg before the final round put an end to a probable 450 MX championship and 250 mxon seat. Jed is 27 but he's been getting faster and more consistent the past couple of years, if Webster is unavailable in the next couple of years you go for Jed Beaton.

Minear will be there in years to come but he's only 17 and needs to develop, no need to rush him in just yet unless he takes a massive step in speed and consistency next season.

Would you say Jed was in a better form this year than during his GP campaign ?

Minear is a ling shot but he is young and racing for Star Yamaha, so he vring the best 250 with him...

Hard to say, different bikes and different competition. But he sure seems comfortable on that CDR Yamaha, he's been flying on it. He finished equal points with Webster in last year's championship but lost on a count back, and was looking like the faster of the two this season until the leg break.

I'm pumped that Australia has so many solid options for the foreseeable future

Do Jett and Hjnter ever start passing on the event though, even when healthy?  Like the top Amercans have done so often at times?

Last but most crazy stat probably.

Australia winning with 19 while having 5 crashes in 3 moto, and 3 of those crashes being in the first lap.
