Exactly. I was going to add that it was disgusting listening to RC celebrate the antics last night. As one of the sport’s legends and someone responsible for representing it to viewers, he was an epic failure last night by condoning the BS. Just shows how some feel the need to gargle the gonads of the “next big thing”.

Reminded me of Bailey somewhat condoning Alessi's behavior during the famous Glen Helen incident. He said something like "a racer trying to cheat is a winner"... I don't recall the exact line, but it was strange and literally the only time I ever thought Bailey had a misstep.

To everyone throwing out the 'they lost my respect' card on all sides of this debate, I just want to remind you that the riders, the ama, and the promoters don't want your 'respect', they want your attention and your money.  Carry on....

Maybe  he will take it as a learning  lesson  as opposed  to the other type.

Spoken as someone who apparently doesn't race. This bullshit trickles down, if some jackass kid sees this and starts riding like this at the local track, the issue is even worse. AMA should nip it in the bud for the sake of the sport and those of us who actually find ourselves on track with idiots who think that this is OK.

Fortunately, most deegan fans don't even own a bike let alone race, but it will still have its effects.

Absolutely outstanding post. I could not agree more.

Plan on getting DQed, booted from the track/banned for life, and mostly likely get your ass kicked if you tried Deegan’s 2nd moto antics at a local race.

He might prove to be a fast 450 guy but try that there and eat dirt each weekend.

[“In the final 250SMX moto of the season, Deegan attempted a block pass on race and championship leader Jo Shimoda, which he hoped would result in a points swing his way for the title. However, as both Shimoda and Deegan went down, only Shimoda remounted.”]

This was the headline when I woke up this morning.

Shame on you Racer X for reporting it this way.  You are being dishonest, Deegan wasn’t trying to pass.

Racer X has always sucked up to riders. Sadly,  nothing new.

Wait what? I thought for sure the AMA had a full time employee assigned to just follow me on all the different sites and monitor my approval. You're kinda making me feel like a narcissist now. Are you sure about this?

Maybe he's trying to impress his non moto acquaintances by upping the ante on being a dickhead. Trying to impress Jake Paul? Also, remember when it was such a big deal that Deegs had to fly private during outdoors because no flights were available? Now he flys private often, or he probably always flew private but now just he makes sure to post about it every time so Jake Paul sees. There was a time when he was a little humble, then he got a little cocky..then humble again...Well now he's clearly not holding back anymore and he's gone full DGAF. I think this version of Deegs might be what we see consistently throughout his career.

MMA fighter Sean Strickland came out in support of Deegz. Dude is a nut. I would rather have no support than have his. Dude rode a dirt bike in a corn field trying to pop wheelies and he thinks hes an expert on whats good for the sport

I actually went back to watch the Tomac/Dungey race just to make sure that I remembered somewhat correctly.  My memory was that Tomac was 'bunching them up' but not looking to intentionally take down Dungey.  After watching it again, I still think that is the case.  The two incidents have very little in common.

absolutely.

tomac had plenty of chances to take dungey out and never took them

This attempt by Deegan could have been bad for Jo, luckily he lifts his foot right before he hits him. He came in pretty hot.

He’s racing 250 SX. So he still has the next 8 months on a 250.

That’s the point I’m making, I think this changes and this is the start of going 450 in 26

Banned for life? I've had worse done to me in a pit bike race by a guy wearing Jean shorts and work boots.

You might get your ass kicked, but ain't nobody getting kicked out of track for breaking their own collarbone.

Even Joe didn't think it was a big deal.

Joe didn't make a big deal of it because he's a professional, grown adult, and all around nice guy. Plus, he doesn't have Deegan's trailer park mentality.

Also, what kind of imbecile compares pit bike racing to professional supercross? Geebus.

Jo should have kicked Deegan in the ribs as hard as he could when they both went down - like physically try to break a rib. What’s the difference? Haiden was no longer racing motorcycles, and was instead trying to take his opponent out by hitting him. Plenty of riders have suffered broken limbs or other injuries by coming together on accident, much less that little shit repeatedly doing it on purpose.

The AMA’s inaction made the sport look like an absolute clown show. Even if Haiden is healthy enough to race, I’d kick him off the MXDN team. He is fast, but lacks the character to appropriately represent the country.

Maybe because I was responding to a comment about local racing?

Joe didn't make a big deal out of it because he won, Haiden lost a ton if money, Haiden looked like an idiot, and Haiden was the one who got hurt.

If the guy who Haiden was going after doesn't even care, why do you have so much sand in your vagina?

Because the last thing our sport needs is to look like some sort of circus side show.  It's hard enough to get people to take moto seriously. Dipshits like Deegan behaving like a toddler having a temper tantrum isn't helping.

Finally - YOU compared local pit bike racing to SMX. Not me. Own it.

🤣 damn man. This is so important to you.

It might surprise you to find out that this sport is literally run by circus people.

Not happy with the race officials.

Deegan should have been black flagged before his takeout/crash. Deegan made terrible decisions.

Shimoda is beyond a master of discipline, incredible.

Sexton’s crash in my opinion should have red flagged the race, that was an eternity out in the middle of the high speed section. I was embarrassed watching.

Could you imagine a NFL player face down on the ground and they just keep running plays?

AMA officials, gross incompetence.

Yeah this.

Kids watching Deegan do this, and then RC saying its ok. It'll be destruction derby out on the local tracks going forward.
