It already looked bad how he wasn’t trying to really move his leg that was locked up in the bike, but then the replay showed his head snap to the side after the impact from Deegan… I’m with you guys, I thought the worst had happened. Felt pretty sick until they showed him walking off, can’t believe he’s alright after that.
I can't believe they let him up. Should've been a backboard move every time. I literally got up and walked off. The replay made me sick to my stomach. So glad he seemed to be "ok" riding off on the mule. Man... emotionally rough night so far.
That was one of the scariest crashes I’ve seen in a while, Ryder is obviously tough but seeing him walk off after that was crazy. Glad he’s ok. Not surprised with Haiden’s lack of response about it, that is 100% on brand.
Crazy to think that the same 2 riders, had almost the exact same type of contact/crash, just this year.
First at Washougal, now tonight. Neither time was anyone's "fault", just really odd coincidences for the same 2 guys to have the same results of one guy landing on the other.
Happened right in front of us, we were 7th row lined up with that corner in to the sand. Ryder oversteered out of the corner which slowed him up. Deegs did an aggressive jump into the sand. Hard to say with certainty but I don't think that would have happened had Ryder not messed up the corner.
I honestly thought he was dead or paralyzed. Holy shit. Glad he is good. Reminiscent of when Deegan landed on him at Washougal. Not his fault...

I thought the same he was paralyzed. I was like no no no wtf deegan you goon you haven’t been jumping that line at all & someone’s on the inside & you do it then? Yes Ryder lost traction, bad timing. But geez, looked horrible.. and the Astars medical guys letting him stumbling, sort of “guiding him” off track. Should consider switching helmet deals
Why the hell didn't they put him on a backboard or at least put him in a neck brace? The medical crew has shown some serious incompetence time and time again, I have no idea how the hell they're still employed when this keeps happening
The fact that everything is fine after that blows my mind. What kind of helmet does he run? Hope he does take some time to make sure his head is okay after that. Insane.

Fly racing, i’ve heard they have one of the toughest helmets out there.

I was terrified that it was really really bad and was happy and shocked when he was walking to the medical cart.
IMO with that crash Ryder isn’t 100% through this year.
Red flags are deployed when a rider needs medical assistance and the medics can’t either get to them safely without halting the race or the rider is in a place that is unsafe on the track.
For example, think back to the Forkner crash last year.
He’s off the track and medics can safely get to him. That race continued on. They don’t throw red flags just because someone crashed or got injured. They were able to safely route traffic around Ryder.

Looks like his body spasmed when he was knocked out.
Me too... and i'm surprised they showed the replay prior to determining his condition. That was a gnarly one
Good think it was in the sand

He jerked like that when his leg got caught in the wheel. Good news all around to see him walk to the mule that was scary.

That helmet did its job. That was frightening. Good to see him looking surprisingly ok considering how that looked.

No mention from Dinger on the podium. Class.
Fawk, that second reaction looked like someone shot him from a grassy knoll

Yep, shithouse. What a dick move.
same - thought legit paralyzed or dead the way he just goes limp and drops.
When rolling off on rge cart he looked all good. Almost wouldnt be aurprised to see him in moto 2
I thought the worst too- that was ugly. Can't believe how tough that dude is.
Amazing the crap luck he has had since turning pro. Hope this doesn’t set him back, he’s been showing some great speed the last month

For a second I thought I saw him pass away, that was insane, two wheels and a frame to the head. I really hope he’s ok.
Good point. I didn’t think about the leg pulling him down.
Pit Row
Yeah, my son and I thought we just saw someone die. I'm glad he got up.
Any updates regarding his condition?
Only thing I've seen is that he's getting further evaluation this week.
I think I saw him on the podium interviews in the crowd behind Honda guys?
