I loathe the Met Gala with a passion, but it's a huge event with names big enough to transcend being just for "weirdos." It couldn't hurt to have Jett mingling with the money and fame of that crowd. Also for whatever it's worth, Lewis Hamilton is on the chair for the gala this year, so I wonder if thhat has anything to do with it.

But obviously no one at the event will give a fuck about MX/SX but it gets plenty of eyes around the internet and who knows how many people will see it and think 'who's that guy? what's he do? oh never heard of it, what, every weekend? might give it a look..' and if no one does Jett got to dress up and go to a crazy event that will be a good story..

I love Eli but there's no way he'd get invited. Jett was invited because he has the right look and glamour the Met Gala types are looking for. The majority of the factory riders also wouldn't get a look in. Maybe Chase...or Kenny.
