I called in last year and weegie and Brayton were on show and I asked them how the MXGP races showed all the race action and if they missed anything Paul Malan gets on the cameras to go to the battles and they both asked me how is that possible?😂😂😂 I told them to simply just watch a race and they would see!!  I was off the phone line quickly after that!! Don’t think they liked my question

let's see - we have a weekly "complaint" thread over the exact same topic, the broadcast. DB does his vid explaining why the uber-popular broadcaster is out. Then we go back to weekly bitch-fests (rightfully so) for several seasons now. And IN ALL THESE YEARS, I don't think I've ever seen one of our "reporters" for this sport stop RC, Diff, Bondo, or ANYONE and ask "So there's been a lot of complaints about the broadcast. Would you like to address those complaints?"

Not once (to my knowledge). It's baffling how "closed" this sport is, and even more baffling that the "media" tries to act like it's NOT a "closed" sport. Sigh. Whatever. Back to my coffee.

The broadcast was atrocious last night. Probably the worst one ever in my memory. They acted like AP won the championship when the actual championship battle is still going on the track! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It’s way too scripted. Let the night unfold and call the damn action rather than letting everyone pipe in with a microphone about what a rider had for lunch three days ago. 

And to media people like Matthes who say us fans will never be happy and complain too much. This is like in the late 70’s when the racers would critique the bike to improve it and the European manufacturers would respond by saying they’re just riding it wrong. The Japanese would actually listen to the riders and, low and behold, they ended up making better bikes and winning races because of it. 

So, is Bondo the one in the control room calling out which shot to go to? That’s where the blame should lie IMO.

What we missed was one of the greatest comebacks in modern SX.    Coop was down to 8th at one point.     He made up INSANE amounts of time by jumping where noone else did (based on footage/what we know from dialogue).      We missed Sexton going from back in the pack (8th or 10th), to 3rd...and then back to 6th.

The footage of Webb passing Sexton was like watching someone passing him in the pits....there was no urgency.       Webb was already off his bike and walking over to congratulate AP by the time Sexton finally rolled over the finish.

Of course they didn’t. I just don’t even listen anymore I can’t stand the constant gaslighting. I know it pays their bills but god damn is it infuriating to watch/listen to.  

I have been a hardcore fan since I was 12 I’m 35 now. I listened to most pods and watched every lap. The broadcast is so bad I have lost interest and just watch the highlights or check the results.  It’s not just RC it’s the whole fucking thing.  the production just sucks. The only conclusion I can come up with is they think the racing is boring and needs story time. 

I like JB and AC also but it’s obvious at this point they will do whatever is necessary to stay on the broadcast. 

Again I understand not bitting the hand that feeds you (the production team) but this shit is getting to be one big circle jerk. Matthes use to atleast call it out some but ever since he has gotten his stupid race and MAVTV deal his show is dog shit.

I don't usually bitch much aside from screech, but missing the race action and the fact the scoring seem to be stuck on the manufacturers instead of the riders lead over the next rider , that at one point showed Webb like 25 + sec behind sexton to next clip Webb in in front of him and 2 other riders. in 3rd,

Good news for me I couldn’t get upset at the terrrible broadcast. Saw it was a mudder, turned it off, checked results last night. No desire to watch riders paddle and roll jumps.

Well, they technically have some Amazon grocery stores. 

At one point i yelled at my tv for Will C. to shut the fuck up and let the man answer your long ass winded question. Rodbell probably wasnt expecting to be that exaggerated with his facial expression for what seemed like 5 minutes while she tried to basically ask "how was your race, what are you feeling?'

I just mute until she passes the mic into their face.         She's gotta go.
