Butchers sayings, names, and just mixes up words. I don't think that's who you want if you want the sport to grow... Jesus... just listen to his Title 24 or whatever podcast.... a laughing stock.

Commentating a race shouldn't be a space to recall the "good ole days" or suck each-other off, most of the people listening don't even know who they are... if the sport wants to be taken seriously, as a professional sport, with real money... the very few spots we do get on TV need to be on point.

Of course there is another side to this, like everything in life. Nobody is saying there isn't a different perspective opposite of Blair. As of right now, that's the only one the public has, and the public reaction is obviously aligned with that.

I hope RC responds and gives his side, not because I disagree with Blair, but because having both sides is always better.

To me it’s a bit suss that in 20 pages it is only mentioned once that RC’s bike career was over many moons ago but he is still in the spotlight.  I would have thought that he would have been replaced with someone who had more recently retired - Ciancurillo ???

I’ve been watching SX since the days of Motormouth who was “entertaining”, Art was great IMO but in the last 15 years DB & Weege are as close to decent announcers as this sport has gotten. JT at least appears to make an effort to be professional but the rest are absolutely terrible. 

I watch the F1 channel and comparing those guys to these guys is like comparing college professors to first graders. 

 

go watch a MXGP race and the whole presentation is superior!! One man in the booth calling the actual race action and camera crew that actually know how to use the zoom out button and show you the actual battles going on!! It’s truly unreal how much better it is!! After watching  the qualifying race Saturday in Argentina it was hard trying to make it thru Daytona with all the filler bs and camera crews trying to show us extreme close ups of foot pegs instead of battles!!

If he was told he was gonna be the voice of supercross, and moved to go all in, only to get sabatoged id be pissed too. If Ricky was a dick on camera at Arlington, what may have been said off camera? Then....DB takes the high road, covers everyones shit behavior towards him. Everyone always asks him. Then it sounds like it was at least implied he was gonna hangout for a bit on RDL, like alot do, and at that point he was prob like ok fuck you guys. 

Ricky is terrible. I used to be a huge fan but then you learn he can barely put together sentences and its like come on. Hes the goat, sure. But he doesnt add anything that any other racer couldnt add. How many deep technical things does he say that makes you think "only an all time race winner can give me that info, and its so valuable that im willing to overlook him butchering the delivery". The answer is zero.

Agree 100%. Been saying this for years. And the zooming in on the rider during the race because "reporter Wil" is rattling on about him is stupid and needs to go. Sadly looks we're stuck with what we have for the foreseeable future.
