Only 17 years old and already his first podium in pro motocross. I noticed yesterday that he has a very clean riding style; even when he is hauling ass, he still looks like he is just cruising. Impressive for his age. Also judging by his interviews, he seems well-spoken and just like a likable guy. Excited to see what he can do with more experience next year. Im a fan already.

Stoked for Casey.
Casey rode at my track when he was on 50s and 65s. Then he moved to Florida bc he was already winning loretta Lynn championships at that time against deegan and bennick. He is a great kid and his family is top notch also. Josh cartwright is close to the family also. It's cool for my dad and I having that track and watch multiple pro riders at the beginning of there journeys make it. Casey will only get better bc he is a great starter and he will learn that pace for the full 35 minutes soon. Deegan and him were rivals since 5yrs old. The Families don't get along very well either so could be interesting if Casey starts figuring it out every weekend.
never been so pumped. Little story time lol.
It was at Millcreek and we were both on 65s. I had just wadded my shit and i was cruising around trying to just make the flag. To no surprise Casey is leading and coming around to lap me.
Just after the finish line at Millcreek theres a split area and if you go left you hit some rollers and if you go right its just flat with a small kink. I went right and Casey went through the rollers. Long story short, our lines came together and we both went down.
I have that 65 on display in my room and and theres still a dent in the exhaust from that crash. My parents always said when he makes it pro thats going to be such a cool story. Here we are….
Deegan family not getting along with people? Color me surprised

Didn’t have quit in him either- was awesome seeing him not drop anchor as soon as Kitchen passed him!
Was pulling for him to win that moto!! His fast lap at Hangtown on race day live was unreal!
Give this kid a couple years and he will be winning titles.
Stoked for him. Seems like great kid.
I have stories for days about the deegans. From loretta Lynn's to mini os of shit they started or have done. What you see now from the deegans times that by 10 in amatuers. They've calmed down some with Brian letting star handle things on race days. Best one was mini os when they were on superminis and casey finally had enough and cleaned haiden out tight before the finish line on the last lap. The whole deegan entourage came unglued. This is after yrs of casey turning the other cheek with haiden riding dirty. It got bad under the tent. Casey parents are nice but the dad was fighter jet pilot (legit was the real life top gun) and the mom was mechanic (only woman) on the jets. So deegans and there entourage didn't scare them not one bit.
Good to see finally get one, once he grows a bit more and gets stronger good things will come, he has no quit in him and wants it.
It will be interesting to see his trajectory vs Ryder D.
They are a really proud american family, but getting into a fight with a true American hero...could hurt their image.
Everything about the kid makes me think he’s a ZachO clone. The number, bike, riding style, even the way they talk is eerily similar
Cochran was super stoked to finish that moto in second and lead so many laps and so were the fans for him. He rode awesome!
I saw a flagger blue flagging him by mistake up Mt.Martin while leading moto2. They think his number was too high to be leading?!? 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Great ride! His early laps were impressive but I was 100% expecting him to drop down the order after like 15 minutes. Especially no that track. He never faded
Casey is a good dude, from a good family, and I couldn't be happier for them. Keep going!
Totally agree, he was gone, and you'd expect a fade but that never came. Impressive.
He was ripping!
…Cochran’s are good people, Great to see them getting some success in the motos!
Pit Row
Nice to see another young talent emerging amongst the ranks. I wanted him to win that moto so bad
Not to derail this thread but if you believe the Deegans to be "true American hero's" you know nothing about America. I have served with both Doug and Amy and they are closer to being American hero's than any of the Deegan's. I served with Doug when he was flying F-18's off the pointy end of the USS Independence over in Japan, and served with Amy at the bureau in Millington when Casey was just a baby.
I guess you and I have a different idea about what makes a person a hero.
Anyone that is an adult knows who the america heros are in this situation. Deegan has a fan base that is young kids and wanna be tough guys. Thank you for your service and agree with your statement 100%.
He said the Deegan's were a proud American family. Where did he call them hero's?
I took it as the Cochran's were a proud American family and they shouldn't get into a fight with a true American Hero (Deegan). Reread the quote he was responding to.
Edit: With 13 downvotes I must not be the only one that read it that way.
Great job for Casey yesterday. Glad to see another young humble rider working his way up the 250 class chain.
I remember seeing him at Nikota MX back on 50s or 65s.
Full cobra gear, head to toe and fast as hell
I like the kid and enjoy watching him race , he also seems to speak fairly well for a 17 year old man..
dudes cool.
Thank you for sharing. Nothing surprising there
I actually called Casey's first race win on a 50 back at the DuQuoin IL state fairgrounds...2013 I believe.
I've gotten to know his Mom and Dad over the years seeing them at the big races.
That comment James made about Casey not slowing down because his mom would chew him out was hilarious if you know her....I wouldn't mess with her.
Awesome to see such a hardworking and genuinely nice kid get it done on Saturday, many more to come I think.
Really cool to see the genuine excitement and thrill on his face. He seems like a great young man.
Definitely one of my favorite younger riders. Give him two more full seasons and he’ll be a championship favorite.
