Bit of an odd topic, but was wondering if anybody shared this feeling.
I don’t find myself being a diehard fan of Jett, in the sense that I like him, but he is not my favorite rider. But still, every time we line up, I end up rooting for him. There’s just something satisfying about watching him beat the records.
I think it stems from the fact that deep down I know if someone else wins, it’s usually not because that rider is faster, it’s because something happened to Jett. So it just feels like I’m relying on luck if I were to root for another outcome.
Jett is awesome (so is Hunter) -- both are fast, though Jett is next level fast, and it's awesome to witness history in the making.
Jett fans on the other hand...I think they make it difficult for some people to root for Jett. Sort of an odd psychological effect of some kind because Jett has nothing to do with his terrible fans.
What I don’t understand is the push back when you don’t want a racer to win or not like a racer you are entitled to your own opinion and thoughts.
Do the Yankee fans like the Red Sox?
foot ball, baseball, hockey, soccer you have your team in motocross you have your rider or riders you want to see do good and like just because you don’t like the guy doesn’t mean you hate them or wish something bad would happen.

what’s difference if I show up to work and say your guy got smoked at the race this weekend. It’s fun it’s bench racing you have your team or your guys. Let the people bullshit without be scrutinized!
I want Jett to get smoked doesn’t mean he will but I will root for my guy and its all for fun it’s entertainment.
Having people/players/team to root for and against is what makes watching sports entertaining. I don’t really care who you cheer for and cheer against but you shit talking me and my favorites and me shit talking you and your favorites is part of the fun.
Thank you, i don't understand the pushback either for me not being a fan of him, and other people in general.

I always tend to root for riders with a great style on the bike. First it was Reed, then Roczen, Sexton and now Jett.
Im not the Barcia, Tomac, Anderson WFO type, I like clinical precision on the bike and now when the most perfect rider of all times has come to play, what’s not to like?.
he is the 2020’s JMB or David Bailey and how can people not like poetry on motion on the bike?
I'm a Jettson fan and pretty partial to Hunter as well. If Chase/Eli/Webb or anyone else beats them...well that's ok. In fact, I figure if they get beat that means someone had a phenomenal ride. Pretty much why I watch in the first place.
When the announcers and competition admit that Jett is the BEST...what more can be said.
I want an Aussie to win, and Jett is performing at the moment.
But more than that, I want to see close, CLEAN racing, I don't want to see 5 second gaps between riders.
I wanna see him beat RC’s 31 moto streak, after that I wanna see other guys get some wins as well. Sexton, Cooper, Hunter are all guys that I could see getting a moto win at some point.
Well said…. Jett is awesome, but not my favorite. I don’t hate him, just like I don’t hate the Dodgers being a Diamondbacks fan. But fuck, I want them to lose every goddamn night…. I don’t have a hardcore 450 guy since Zacho retired, so I cheer with my wife for Chase….
100% this. Certain riders have a technique that just draws me to them. It's just a pleasure to watch Jett and Chase on the bike. It's a beautiful thing.

Everyone knows Jett will win every race, but most Jett fans are ruining it for him.
I mean, for one, SX is the biggest title over here. Prado has zero chance at beating Jett for a SX title. Zero. Mx will certainly be more competitive. Maybe Jett will finally get challenged. We'll see if he's been holding back or not and has more speed
I think mxdn 2023 in France gave us what we need to know. Jett went from last to 4th? Or what ever it was in the first moto and in the second he dominated.
Prado is good but not at the same level.

At this level winning a moto or an overall takes a special athlete and whoever gets it done deserves it. A win don't come easy. The amount of training, testing and preparation is insane to excel at this level...then you still need some luck on top of that.
Watching Jett race is a pleasure and if he keep his streak alive then I'm all for it.
If someone steps it up and races Jett and beats him then that's effing awesome for us fans.
I'm also looking forward to seeing how far he can stretch his win streak and chase some of the records. We gotta appreciate the skill / talent that Jett has brought. He is pretty unique in the way he rides. Every serious competitor out there has to be studying him.

not a Jett fan in the slightest, but everyone thinking Prado is going to challenge Jett next year is sadly mistaken.
It will be a long time before he get smoked. He'll get beat this year but not smoked.
Prado will have to learn US tracks and sort out US spec bikes in his first year. He won't have anything for Jett in SX.
I honestly think Prado will have his hands full with Sexton before he can even think about truly going toe-to-toe with Jett
Doesn’t matter if you want Jett to win or not. He’s gonna win. Most likely he’ll take every moto. Prado might get second or third, here and there.

I want an American to win and IMO Sexton will give Jett some close racing. Went to see the National at Millville last year and I suggest to everyone if you get the chance to see the incredible talent we have in AMA Pro Motocross please go! And yes Jett was amazing and impressive beyond what I thought I would see.
It’s crazy how on here you get a load of dislikes just for liking a certain rider.
I want to see Jett win with some adversary (not due to injuries). A gentle front wheel wash out in the first turn or bike won't start at the gate drop and he starts walking back to the pits when his mechanic miraculously comes flying through the pits with the bike fixed and running.. Or just a good old fashioned back and forth brawl the entire race.
Would like to see someone else win Pala at least so we don't get the perfect season stuffed down our throats every race.
I want to see battles, period. I would love to see 10 riders all at the same speed, fighting for position.
For this year, I expect the battles to be between Jett, Sexton, and Roczen. I'm hoping other riders rise up to the top and get into the mix.

Roczens hurt and is nearly sx only, how will he be battling Jett?
