What is your opinion of the best 10 seconds(ish) or single moment in moto or supercross history?
I will go first, obviously, as a James Stewart fan, I will never forget this.
Edit: not sure why, but the video is supposed to start a the 3:53 mark
That was probably one of the most exciting races of all time.. it’s before my time but the 1990 (I think) Atlanta is often mentioned too.
Zacho takeout on savatgy for the title
That race was wild!!! It's better to watch the whole video.
Gotta thank Reed and Stewart for that racing and entertainment. RV and Dunge were hanging close the whole race. For all that work and effort Stewart got spit out the ass end of that race and got 4th.
This one never gets old for me, and I’m not even a super fan. Incredible bike skill, strength and confidence:

Stewart/ RV at MEC in 2013 race #2 was crazy back and forth, then RV missed the joker lane and then went down on the big table.
One of the most exciting main events of all-time.
Eli blasting out the berm at shougal after passing Kenny was ferocious & photo op heaven
San Diego SX 01. Might be more than 10 seconds but there was a sequence where Carmichael went inside of McGrath and MC squared it up perfectly to pass him back. RC passed him back in the whoops then MC block passed him at the end of the rhythm. This was all in about a lap’s time.
That’s the one for me. That’s with bias, though. I was in the stands. Stadium was going nuts with the continuous intensity on the track. What a night!
Narrowing this down to 10 seconds is super difficult. Wasn’t there a 10 second sequence in the 2011 SX finale where the 250 regional championship between Tickle and Tomac swapped a few different times?
RV and Canard battle into the finish line in St Louis in 08.
Webb beating Roczen with the last turn pass.
Stewart busting out the quad in Vegas 2011 only for Windham to follow suit. Nobody else was even going to try it.
Baggett passing both Roczen and Barcia at the MX opener in 2012 on the last lap. Stretching it a bit for 10 seconds there but it was probably about 30.
Langstons wheel exploding at Steel City.
Pastrana/Carmichael at A1 2000 I think.
Millsaps/Canard last lap at Anahiem.
Zacho Vegas without a doubt.
Pingree KTM split in half at Phoenix.
Stew and Reed block pass game in ATL.
Will Hahn title in Vegas with a bum arm.
Peick/Friese in Anaheim has to be the perfect fit at 10 seconds!
So many to name.
AC leading the heat this past weekend was cool, crowd loved it.
Roczen shock sequence was absolutely insane too.
I’ve been lucky to be at all of those, I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot, just some of the ones that come to mind.
DD
Dungey coming down the hill at Southwick to join the race. 10 seconds later and he’s out of the race and championship.
The crowd going nuts when LaRocco holeshot an Indy SX. Can’t recall which year but it drowned out the live commentary.
Baggett passing Tomac on the outside by riding up on the wall. Thunder Valley?
Awesome pick. One of the baddest corners in moto history.
1980 500 USGP - Carlsbad Raceway - 2nd Moto - Marty Moates waves to the roaring crowd jumping down Devils Drop to a double moto win and 1st American to win 500 USGP
The scrub heard around the world
Not sure about 10 seconds, but the 2017 Vegas SX finale had to be the most exciting 1 hour ever.
Pit Row
That was an awesome moment I was lucky enough to see in person.
One of my buddies suggested we walk down to the "Torco Barrel Turn" and we got there just in time to see Eli rail that higher line.
The sound from Eli's bikes when he puts on those beast mode rides is like nothing else.
I thought this thread would be about the Roczen blown shock and crash. Seeing the smoke explode out of the bike after the triple and watching him blitz the whoops with smoke everywhere was absolutely wild. My first thought was his engine had exploded and I was wondering how the fuck he was still hitting those whoops before he sadly got kicked at the end.
Hated seeing him crash and get hurt. But launching that triple and then seeing that smoke was just wild.
The second eli's Achilles snapped, and the nine seconds that followed are a perfect example of the highs and lows this sport has
Canard putting villipotto into the tuff blocks on the finish line to take the title.

Henry and LaRocco 5th gear pinned, side by side, up horsepower hill at Washougal in '96. Unreal commitment from both guys
I want to say it was Millville 2003, Stewart just obliterating the whoops, wheelie-ing and hanging off the back of that KX125. One of those core moments thats been engraved into my mind.
The Washougal berm destruction by Tomac is probably tied with that for me as well.
'04
I was working an event in Cincinnati and drove out to catch that race. Ranks right up there with being at Binghamton when Henry won the title in '98.
Maybe not the best, but Villo passing Canard at Thunder Valley. They scrub together and Villo lands on the rear wheel and proceeds to wheelie past Canard going uphill, good battle.

03 Budds Creek you could probably narrow down a 10 second clip where Stewart does some insane things on the bike and passes 5-8ish guys in the blink of an eye.
Anyone remember 2004 Washougal 250 Moto 1? On the opening lap Carmichael ran into Reed on the off-camber before the whoops on accident and it fired up Reed pretty good. He actually passed Ricky back a few times. I was hoping Reed was going to set sail for the win, but it was Ricky's 2nd perfect season to be.
Start at 6:12
Won't spoil this one, but it was interesting.
