Yeah, it's quite entertaining listening to adults get all butt hurt cause some young punk is just riding through their favorite young punk. I feel like a fucking Jett apologist, so many ignorant so-called fans. I DO see their point though. It might get boring. I'd love to see someone like Danger Boy move up and start to challenge Donut Boy - but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I feel half the Americans think he just came on the scene and started beating their guy without paying his dues being unaware of his AU to EU journey and the fact he's young and hasn't had a YouTube channel or not that much time to pay dues or be in the limelight - he's that good. Luckily I've been on his bandwagon ever since I saw him chase down Ferrdleberry as a stone-cold rookie and faceplant into a jump face! That was special. So I'm not too butt hurt with his dominance and can appreciate what I'm seeing, but I understand. I remember watching MC spin out in front of RC after being challenged by him for weeks....turning to my GF and saying I think we just saw the passing of the torch. I was BUMMED and never really warmed to RC, especially after he took the measure of James - but I never took to calling people names on Motodrive or whatever. I think I felt the "torch was passed" or "die was set" that we were watching generational greatness when Jett tip-toed around Sexton on the outside - apologized and motored away at the MXdN at Red Budd or the time he waxed the field at the MXdN in FR. ooorrRRR the time he rode THROUGH all his top competitors at will as soon as he caught up to them like Bubba used to do at Daytoner '24
Dude...stop pissing on their celebration today....
"Not sure how you could agree on that without him having locked up the title."
How could you not agree with that before the series even started based on the last 24 races
I notice you haven't been able to come up with a rational retort to my comment on your OP Only an observation. Pretty sure you just proved HIS point.....and mine YW>

In supercross Jett is fast, sometime. Sometime he is not fast… Not really sure I’d go posting a breakout in muddy conditions. Was it a Breakout for Plessinger? Web? Roczen?
Tomac hasn’t won a race yet. He’s clearly not on point yet, and may never get much better, similar to every riders last year, besides Ricky. Jett had his breakout last summer. He could now back it down in sx to 85% and still get the title.
How TF am I defending Jett when I'm not a fan in the slightest? "Sometime he is not fast"? How can I say this in a way you'd understand.... Does "Jett have red plate now" work?
Listen, I'm not a recency bias guy. I'm not a new fan. I watched Dowd in the river that was Hangtown in 91. I watched Stewart and Carmichael go to war in the rain in San Francisco. I watched Tomac put 1:30 on a healthy Ryan Dungey in 2015.
I am a huge Tomac fan, and even he didn't have an excuse for getting beat in his own house last night, other than basically saying he wasn't good enough.
You guys don't have to like Jett, I really don't either, but I'll be damned if I'm not looking forward to watching that kid in person this summer.
I understand what the op is getting at. I was thinking that very thing. He didn't seem to be completely focused so far even though he had the point lead. Last night was a statement imho.
lol.. I love that there is a certain pattern going on and people still clutch at straws to find reasons of doubt.
Jett in the 250 class - "he's all hype"
Jett wins back to back titles in the 250's - "wait until he races real men in the 450's"
Jett races Mxon and goes 1-2 - "yeah but its a team event, no one was trying"
450 outdoors, 22-0 - "Got lucky racing a Depleted field, wait until there's a full gate"
Jett wins SMX - "it was a hybrid, wait until supercross"
Wins A1 - " doesnt mean much, first race of the year"
Defeats Tomac at Daytona coming from behind - "Tomac didnt take risk & bike was smoking"
arghhhh gotta love it
85% huh….okay. These comments are so fucking stupid. Watch the season. He has been on the edge. He did own them in Daytona but on the season he has been running at 100%…hence the soil samples. If he dropped it to 97% he wouldn’t win.…so check the dumb 85% comments.
Tomac said his bike was fine. He raced Sexton and passed him. Everybody is making excuses for Eli but Eli.
I laughed because Eli said he didn’t even look at the pit board. To which Sexton was probably wishing he had. Maybe get it in his head to worry about…lol.
you kno whts funny about all this , I remember 2017 yal was not saying this bout dunge when Eli was giving my boii all he can handle & at the end my manz still successfully defended his title against Eli
Lotsa things can happen in SX .. is Jett L. the second coming ? ask again in 10 years.
Truth though ; on a very, very tough track & with Tomac & Sexton riding pretty well - Jett had nearly 2 seconds a lap in his pocket over both of them when needed.
69 to go peeps!
Early early dayzzzz
Oi oi oi
Agreed. Huge statement race by Jett, it's slipping away for the rest.
Good ride by Chase & JCoop keep future hope alive.
Winning Daytona is a really big win, for anyone, but not Jett's break out ride.
If you're big star bound let me warn ya it's a long hard ride...
Pit Row
The excuses from the same old crowd are getting so predictable and pathetic that it’s entertaining.
You guys act like Jett is the greatest human on planet earth and post some real arrogant bs. You guys like to get a rise out of a few posters, and it works every single time. I've never been a fan boy, so to me, as an adult, it just seems super strange
The guy just went 22/0 in outdoors as an rookie, what else does he need to do to prove he is good.
The answer is zero, you guys just want to argue about a 20 year old with some sweet tats.
No problem at all with Jett or the normal people who like him as a rider or general dude, but these hyped up super-fans are something else 😂
Solid ride at Daytona, it was impressive. I'm not gonna write off the other guys in the title hunt though.
Its races like this that are won by the guy who is willing to send it the hardest. Eli just simply wasn't willing to hang it out and hit that gnarly rhythm Jett was doing. Other than that I'd say they were pretty closely matched around the rest of the track. This Daytona was next level gnarly! WTF was Sexton doing when he just decided to try a new line that lap and left the door WIDE OPEN and didn't even attempt to push Jett out of the line, but then played road block for Eli, really wanted to see Eli and Jett go head to head, we haven't seen them go head to head. Everyone has their nights, Jett rode great this weekend and Eli rode insane at Alrington.
Boy I don't know, I think Daytona convinced me this title is Jett's, and it doesn't look like anyone can stand up to him at this point. The last time I saw a pounding like the Daytona race was the Pam Anderson/Tommy Lee video.
Nobodys got anything for Jett, and won't for a long time. Even the GOAT says your looking at the new GOAT.
The kid is an absolute stud on a dirt bike... I've said before, the way he floats over stuff that other guys are pounding is remarkable. But this need for his fans to post a coronation every time he wins is just remarkable.
It's exactly like my granddaughters obsession with Taylor Swift...
Yeah, I think he's the title favorite and by a fair amount. But let's talk about the 72 in another five years or so when we have a real idea of whether he's got a shot at it or not.
Jett being next level had already been established but beating Tomac at Daytona in that fashion is the official passing of the torch .
So you think Anderson should have pulled over at San Diego for Jett instead of playing roadblock right?
Well ya better hope tomac never beats jett again since he is so old.
22-0 trumps a Daytona win.
Post a reply to: Can we all agree, Daytona was Jett's breakout moment
