Has he?  I haven’t followed much for a few years.  If that’s the case then my opinion of him is slightly less than it otherwise would have been, for whatever that is worth.

Nonetheless we are discussing teams not sending riders, not riders choosing not to go.

Dungey turned it down in 15,16. RC and Bubba turned it down. It happens.

Exactly, where was uproar?

What's in it for Kawasaki to send a rider to the MXDN?  What's in it for any of the teams?  There doesn't seem to be any juice from the squeeze.

How about national pride...patriotism, or has that gone completely down the toilet?

It's just another one off race now like straight rhythm or the Paris sx. Where all you get is bragging rights for winning. The only one benefitting from it is the promoter and maybe the fans.

From a riders perspective risk vs reward isn't there. Like when Anderson got landed on a few years ago. The only ones really pissed are the fan boys who want their pseudo mxgp vs ama riders race.

And Vialle.

In reverse guys like Lars van Berkel, Tanel Leok, Harri Kullas, Jakub Terešák, Stephen Rubini, John Adamson, Charlie Putnam, Gert Krestinov, Adrien Malaval, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku, Mathias Jørgensen (a guy who still has a working job in Denmark), Ethan Lane and Joel Rizzi made the trip to the USA to race one or more National rounds. Be it with their regular teams from Europe or as a true privateer. Meanwhile Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, Puerto Rico and Latin America are sending teams.

But hey, what do they know?

"tRAvellIng To EUroPE iS eXpenSIVe". Well, duh.

Your point remains, but the Mathias Jorgensen you listed is a different guy. The one you listed didn't race any US nationals this summer but has raced them in the past on his dime.

The one who did race this summer is also from Denmark but moved to the US as a kid.

Mathias Jorgensen the working man: https://www.instagram.com/mathiasjorgensen21

Matti Jorgensen who moved to the US: https://www.instagram.com/mattijorgensen4

I thought it was a crock they didn't go back then . I don't remember posting a whole lot in forums then . Not sure what forum if any I posted in back in 04 . Motonews maybe ? In any case that sucked but at least they were honest about it even though it wasn't a good reason in my opinion.

Why does Monster Energy Kawasaki (U.S.A) absolutely refuse to support the MXON? Year after year they refuse to let their team riders to participate, even Pro Circuit 250 riders. Why do they get a pass on this absolute injustice?

Is it just Kawasaki U.S.A. Management? Who? Why?

It ain’t Monster. Star Yamaha sends riders.

Star Yamaha isn’t sending riders either. If all this means so much to everyone there’s one thing to do. Stop buying Kawasaki’s and Yamaha’s in the USA. That’s the only way this will hurt them in any way. Show them what’s important to you and buy Honda or a KTM brand.
none of that will happen unfortunately. People will just buy what they wanna buy and continue to complain on the internet. 🤷‍♂️

Star will send guys. They’re taking a bullet for their rider who was asked to go and said no so he doesn’t look bad.

Yep, but the rider in question wanted to go with the A team, to win or to get a podium which was very likely. Right now it sounds like nobody wants to ride, so I would not be surprised if team usa finishes P4-P6 thanks to having a more balanced team. I will support whoever is selected but some if not all the top riders must realize it is an important event. And based on what the promoter takes to organize the event, there should also be some big prize money, like 300k for the 3 winning riders, then 200k, 150k, 130k, 110k, 90k, etc, a 1 million prize money, so about 66% going back to the riders.

Okay, is this the settled reason among the 'tards - that Kawasaki refuses to participate in the MXON because they think DeCoster screwed them out of the 2017 SX title when Marv 'let' Dungey 'bye'?

If this is the case: 1. It's very immature - what a bunch of babies. 2. Take responsibility for your rider's performance - Tomac screwed himself out of a title by his weirdo crashes and slow restarts - notably Rutherford NJ SX.  3. I realise Kawasaki USA is its own entity, but presumably Kawasaki Japan has sway over it?  If so, I also presume Japan also sees MXON as a positive marketing platform and should direct Kawi USA to pull its head in and stop being a bunch of whingers.

1. It has fuck all to do with a SX title in 2017.

2. There are a lot of dependencies from the Kawasaki MXGP team for the US to send riders overseas to race a one off race like this.  Currently, the MX1 team are on the 24 KX450. The US riders are on the 23.  There isn't enough time to get Jason and/or AC prepared, that's the #1 reason why there isn't a Kawasaki MX1 or MX3 rider going.

3. On the 250 or MX2 side, again there are dependencies required from a non-existent GP team.  As I said in a prior post about the des Nations, it would cost a minimum of $50k to send 1 PC rider.  Plus, making sure that there is enough personnel to go during what is considered "off time" where they take vacations, weddings, etc that they put off during the season.

Remember, the des Nations is not a contracted event for the US teams and riders.  This is a business and a race overseas really doesn't benefit the US teams.

If everyone wants a PC Kawasaki on the line at the des Nations, I will start a T-shirt campaign effective immediately and I will get Mitch to send one of his guys(preferably mine) .  We need $50k.  Who's donating?

You act like their is no PR benefit for Kawsaki to have bikes in the race...

Completely wrong. Look at Star Yamaha & HRC from last year...

Not sure it makes much sense to skip what is essentially the Olympics either.

VERY POOR move by Kawasaki.

Forget the un-patriots that have turned down the opportunity to go.... there are plenty of your top guys that would happily go!

USA needs to send a team regardless if its your 'A' team or not.

Us Brits haven't been competitive for years but we still have a go, the guys get plenty of support and we try our best to remain top 10 in the world.

All 3 of those had already won once. In my eyes you can say no when you already brought the trophy home once.

It’s been awhile but I don’t remember this much uproar in 2004 when we failed to send the two winningest riders of all time.

You have a bad memory

With  insiders like  jimmy button and Steve caberlo coming to the riders defence with similar excuses to now

it was bullshit  then , and it’s bullshit now

however. It did lead to the triumphant return in 05 ,

In others news ,  I have been on these sites too Fucken long

This is just so funny.

1. The ”greatest” country in the world can’t manage to send 3 riders to MxDn.

2. The most patriotic country in the world don’t care about the olympics of MX any more unless it’s held on home soil.

3. The most payed MX riders in the world can’t race ONE race for free each year? Would it kill them to give anything back to the sport that pays them millions of dollars each year?.

The current US riders could learn a thing or two from Zach Osbourne regarding this event.

Kawasaki's issue stems from SX 2017?? Seriously? Get over it. I'm a huge Tomac fan, but he lost that championship. Cry me a river, Musquin gave Dungey 3 points. At the end of the day Eli had too many mistakes. It's still BS that the SX points system was changed because of that championship too. 26 points for a win is DUMB.

Am I the only one that thinks it is absolutely insane that there is so much hate for the teams and riders (for not coughing up a bunch of money out of the goodness of their hearts), but so little for Youthstream (or whatever the hell the name of that corrupt Italian organization that the greasy little mobster Gueseppe Luongo created)???  I'm guessing In Front or whatever makes a few million Euros from the des Nations, and the teams are the ones taking heat....SMH......
