Do you know what bait and switch actually is?
Bike looked absolutely nothing like a ktm. These takes are hilarious. You are wrong. I’m convinced you have no idea what a ktm looks like.
Psssst...hey, over here....
If someone you knows happens to find one of these bikes in a back alley in the not too distant future...? We'll meet out at the end of Backus Road in the valley that shall not be named and you can take her out for a shred or two...after a hearty breakfast at Tom's, of-course!
In the meantime, these angry kids 'roun' h'yar can all bitch and moan.
It’s the perfect Vital roll out. Perfect! Going to show you bits and pieces one at a time to keep the couch engineers from saying “they should have, it’s sucks, looks heavy blah blah blah” from all the negative Nancy’s. At least we’ll only have to endure small comments one piece at a time vs. them showing the whole and it gets picked apart from full waffle, tits on a tire and number of teeth on a foot peg. Triumph!

I mean, you’re using generalizations by saying “people are losing interest fast”. You’re making statements that everybody must feel the way you feel. I’ll be sure to look out for your name when the bike is released, for some reason I feel you won’t be able to help yourself but comment on it. Y’all sound like children but craving eye candy because most of the people complaining likely have no interest in buying one.
It’s very obvious a lot of you have never created something on your own that is meant to be sold to the public. On one hand, there are people complaining about the Stark for showing off a complete bike that you can’t buy and then on the other hand the same people are complaining that Triumph isn’t showing off a bike you can’t buy yet. I get it, we’re all excited for new toys but randomly dropping a brand new bike into the market is horrible marketing. Building awareness or “hype” is a great way to advertise in the build up so you have a large audience aware of the product once it hits the shelves. Ever notice how musicians or actors promote their new album or movie without letting you listen to/watch it before it’s available?
I don’t really understand the “show me nothing unless I can buy it now” crowd. I like knowing what’s up and coming and progress updates. They don’t have to do this but it’s just extra content to consume in the meantime.
Perfect! And we'll test her hill climbing abilities while we're at it.
If you’re saying that you’re going to buy a different brand because of this, you weren’t really interested in buying one to begin with.
You will probably get lost after you leave Toms. It’s been a minute since you’ve been out….
BTW- Kevin and I did an early ride last week and it was so good. Left our spot at 6:30 and back by 11:00. Eating wings and drinking beer down the street by noon. Excellent day
Soon as I know the release date(s), I am going to make that leap. Even if it means July.
I have to admit, ‘ole Geraldo sucked me in on the Al Capone deal. I was so pissed off at the nothing burger that was. 😂
I’m guilty. I didn’t watch the video and made my own expectations. The first bike I ever “rode” on was a 69 Triumph Boneville. My dad put me in front of him and told me to hang on to the gas tank lol.
Yes, I am emotionally invested. I really want one of these.
Honestly, That does sound like some boomer stuff. My dad had a Triumph, CZ and some Hondas. All of those sound broadly bland-as-shit to me. Not that I wouldn't own those makes, if they made the most rippin' bike, but my nostalgia attached to the brands specifically is near zero.
And I am probably in the small vet/age demographic that has the disposable income to choose to pop for whatever this bike will cost.
As much as I sympathize with the “I want it all and I want it now” way of thinking after waiting so long to see ANYTHING, I think they way they’re doing this is brilliant. Obviously they have a whole package- the engine and frame and other bits are not developed fully independently of one another- but for them to dribble it out keeps the conversation boiling and the interest moving in the right direction, waiting to see what’s next. All these cats saying they’ve lost interest because of the frustration with the less-than-expected quantity of content that’s been released are blowing hot air. Ok, maybe not all, but like nearly all. They’ll be right there clicking into the Goat’s next appetizer. In the meantime we’ll all be debating the merits of single spine alloy frames and speculating about what sorcery will be used to fasten things to the left side of that frame. (Okay, I agree, that part was silly.)
All that being said, I do think the conversation and info in the release video was too vague and unrefined. A little more meat in that sandwich may have satisfied the hunger we feel. It will be interesting to see how they plate the next course.
bon appetit.
Pretty sure that was just a Tropic Thunder movie reference, not an opinion on grips
One word.
Fustrating.
My bad, I was thinking F1, anyway I like the look.
Pit Row
What’s really going to be funny if more 250 Triumphs are delivers by the end of the year Starks.
Welcome to Mx sx media
Fans don't have to buy the bike to be curious or excited to see what it is about. I think a lot of people expected a true "reveal" of the bike, and not just a frame. I'm sure the marketing geniuses behind this intended to build excitement for the bike and generate views on social media, but I think they are going to find the opposite. People are frustrated and understandably upset with the reveal being dragged out and the "follow us on..." bit and my guess is, the views will sharply decline because fans like myself will just wait until the bike is actually revealed in its entirety to watch the video.
And this is why I keep coming back to vital 🤣
So explain how this is a "bait and switch"
Exactly, I have no intention of buying one but I am very curious you see their finished bike or at least a good idea of what its going to look like and any new cool component's or new ideas.
I think this is a cool way to roll out a new bike. They’re showing you what went into designing it and what all things they took into consideration. I like the hand welding by a skilled tradesman instead of everything being robotically welded that in itself shows me their craftsmanship of building this new bike.
Would you want to buy the bike if the skilled tradesman was hung over from the previous night?
Fair enough. Some others said the same thing. I went back and rewatched RC’s post and actually read the caption this time. With the way he teased it, I assumed we’d see the bike soon. Still not down with this slow rollout. Just show the bike already. It’s their prerogative, though.
And I’m a huge RC fan. I didn’t elaborate when I said I look down on him; after all, it was a short joke…
Looks like it wont have a reversed engine. If u pause the video you can see the header which looks to have the front side exhaust.
