Sounds like grounds for termination to me.

Was trying to read through this to see if there was an update on him. But I cant even go through 1 page. How can people right away turn this thread into something negative towards forkner. Even if the best for his health would be to back down, why not support him for his love and dedication for the sport. Maybe he just lives for this sport and dont want to quit no matter what! I stand behind that all the way. With his injuries and comebacks I can not assume he is doing it for either money or fame...

Been mtn biking for 35 years, moto even longer, can you enjoy both? Mtn biking is fun cardio ….most cardio work sux….

I still consider myself a motocross racer and that I use MTB as a training tool. However, I've been really enjoying pedaling over the last several years, and I'm now a semi-serious MTBer. I'll probably never race an enduro, but I sure do like that style of riding. Without MTB, I'd never have gotten to see any of this: Not my picture, but I've been here:

The airhorns are annoying but the chainsaws are absolutely obnoxious. Always wielded by a group of shirtless hillbillies that are just there to drink beer and be annoying as fuck. Hell yeah man! Nothing I love more when trying to watch a race then some dumb fuck firing up a 2 stroke chainsaw and blowing my eardrums out at 115 db right behind me every lap.

Most of these highly successful moto guys would probably be best having a Mike Alessi "retirement", hitting up pro-ams and one-offs for gate fees and purses than trying to qualify in any other highly-competitve pro sport. Not to say they shouldn't participate in those other sports, but as far as a "career" -- whether we are talking off-road, cycle, whatever -- people at the top level in every pro sports discipline that you can make a decent living at are really good at that sport.

Deegan could've avoided all of this hate by simply being humble on the podium, and said something to the effect " I hate Davies went down, that wasn't my intention". Instead he doubled down and went to Uber douche level.

My biggest issue with his podium interview is him not remotely acknowledging the two men who congratulated him and handed him the plate and trophy. When someone gives you something, earned or not, you look them in the eye and say "Thank you". Guy's just a giant tool.

Go back and watch the other times he have been presentated with the plate after gotten the title, he just janks it out of the other guys hand and raises it in to the air. I don’t care who the rider is, it’s a really shitty look not being able to take a second and shake the guys hand when you get a trophy.

I didn't realize Beaumer did that. He should have his ass sued for that shit. I like the kids spirit on a bike but that is out of bounds imho.
