I like Jo who doesn’t.  Was glad to see him win.  I don’t know about the stud thing though.  A true stud would have hit the gas and checked out.  Plan B would be a counter attack after Deegan hit him a couple times he should have put Deegan down.  Deegan was bullying  him because he knew Jo rides clean.  Poto, Andersen Mookie or Barcia would respond correctly in that situation.  You have to respond to violence with violence.  Just as easily could have been Jo with broken collarbone

You crazy?  Jo just took it again and again no retaliation got lucky Deegan got hurt it wasn’t going to end   You think for one second the bad ass riders like Chad Reed or bam bam would put up with that crap for more than a minute ?

RV was better than JLaw regardless, and has said since that he wished he never wasted energy on him. 
Reed and Stew focused on their rivalry and handed RV the 2011 SX title in the process. As for the other guys you listed; how’d it work out for them? Ando lost the 2022 SX title because of his inability to not start shit. 
Rarely does that macho bullshit approach ever work out, but there’s an endless list of where it doesn’t. 
Jo can hold his head high and Deegan looks like a fool, end of story.

From what I saw on TV, Jo didn't do anything back, didn't shake his head, point or even shoot a middle finger.  Even after he got knocked down he didn't push Deeg's or put his hands up like wtf?

We don't even know the full verbal abuse he has taken.

This isn't the schoolyard lol. And Deegan isn't a bully, he's just a douchebag. He was blinded by the $$$$ in the heat of the moment. Joe could have retaliated and taken out Haiden and broke his own collarbone in the process. Or he could have been docked points/positions and lost the championship because of it. He did it right.
