Andre Malherbe used to show up to a grand prix in a Ferrari before riding an RC500.

That's pretty cool.

Factory Zundapp: might be the coolest thing I’ve seen in here all year. So grateful to have grown up around this sport during the 60s, 70s & 80s…
Malherbe on his Zundy…Monarch’s…Rickman…
Great Times.
Amazing History.

And 99% of the people out there would only remember him on the HRC Uber famous early/mid 80’s Hondas. Those photos above are rare👍

I loved the way he rode so effortlessly. He always looked good no matter what. Godspeed Andrea.

God Speed Good Man. Before the disdain for the French. I was a fan.

Such a shame what happened to Andre, God bless him RIP, another gone too soon.
I was privileged to see him in his racing prime at Hawkstone Park 500 GPs

My mistake, I think it was 86 as he is #2. Was #1 in 85.

I will always think of Andre on a RC500, because I really started following the sport in the 80s. But from what I've read, the guy was an absolute monster on a 125.

Ride in Peace, Champ.
