Ride in peace brother. I didn't know Scottie personally, but he clearly had a huge impact on lots of people. As much as we all like to fling shit at each other, at the end of the day, we are all one big moto family.

Hey Scottie, it was always a pleasure to chat with you. I appreciate our friendship and even though I didn't ever meet you, I know that we were stone bros when it came to moto. I will think about you often and you will be missed. I'm glad that your pain is gone and I hope that you are in a place where you can crack the throttle wide open. Sending you my prayers. Had a couple nice conversations with him throughout the years on here. This sucks, but I'm glad he isn't in pain anymore. RIP.

I just now saw that Scottie passed away. I'm gutted to the point where I'm kind of a mess right now. Not going to work the rest of the week. 20 years ago I met Scottie in the MCM2 race rooms and then he introduced me to fresh dirt , Moto drive and if it wasn't for him , I probably wouldn't even be here. Losing Joe , then Dwayne and now Scottie in a short period of time , I just can't stand it.

Love you Scottie , and I will miss you greatly. RIP.

Man, I'm in shock. He was such a presence on this board. When my Mom died 10 years ago, Scottie was the one posting messages of encouragement. RIP my friend.

Really sad to hear of his passing. I was hopeful that the quick action of a few on here was enough to show him the love he needed. It's hard to bring someone out of that darkness but I'm certain he saw the love before he left. Anxiety and depression are things that too often go untreated and sometimes the side effects of them push us off them. I can tell you from experience, when you go off cold turkey they can put some pretty gnarly thoughts into your head.

I think it must have taken a very smart, strong minded person to sort through all of this and finally come to the decision that he did and handle it the way he did. Even if you don't like it, you have to respect the conclusion that he came to for the reasons that he had.

Rest in peace Scottie. I never met you, but felt like I knew you.
