Right seat 737 at a "major" airline. Gave up riding Motocross due to getting older (38) and not wanting to add on to my hospital visit resume and risk losing my medical and livelihood. (I've done my tib/fib, femur, pelvis, collar bone and more ribs than I can remember along with a few concussions). Luckily the PNW offers a lot of world class single track and I've been loving it. Signed up for Silver Kings hard enduro in a couple weeks.

GA guy here. Own and fly a PA-28 and am building an RV-10. Might go CFI 'for fun', as I already fly right seat a lot (over 100 hours right seat non-CFI). My wife is currently getting her PPL also, which is cool. We both ride moto mainly at Cahuilla, also Pala, Perris, etc. Also love splashing around in a flying boat (this pic was from ASES lessons in Florida) and will probably get one of these at some point also. Fair winds.

I used to fly A-4s/T-45s then I flew 737s doing mostly domestic high altitude chem trail delivery until recently. Now I’m riding my Husky more. I ride PaxTrax, Orlando MX and MotoBros here in Florida. I was sad to see Canyon MX shutdown in PHX. I used to fly out to AZ and ride in the OTMX international vet race there each year.

In the past I’ve flown Citations and Hawkers. Right now I’m in a Lear 45, and we have a Praetor coming Q4 In CA I’ve ridden Glen Helen, Cahuilla Creek, and Fox raceway Here at home it’s Possum Hollow, Gas MX and 4 states

I don’t consider myself a “professional” as I only hold a private with a little over 300 hours but I fly a R44 if that counts haha.

I’m envious and admire all you pro flyboys, been a longtime aviation fan and, in the spring of 1981 I flew the Concorde (at the Navy’s expense, long story….) from JFK to LHR (1340 mph, 57,000 feet, the world is indeed round !) Anyway, just wanted to share and yeah, I’ll brazenly brag about it until I pass on….

I can't contribute directly as I'm not a pilot myself - but on the same topic I did meet a fellow MX racer on an off-road ride I did out west about 10-12 years ago who was a pilot for Southwest. He was a pretty good rider and I think he was probably a top guy in his area in the 70's/80's... But what I thought was really cool was that he was attending all of the Nationals that year- and getting paid to do it !! Apparently he had enough seniority (or however the system works) that he could...

Checking on the frequency. No more MX for me, a lot of mtb, e-mtb and off-road on. My 450 XCFW here in Southwest Florida. Got back into racing again after 15 years did my first Florida Trail Riders HS a month ago, was a blast. I ride trails and sandy double tracks on the border of the Glades, been to Croom for a weekend of sand whoops (there’s actually an awesome Airbnb in an old Chinnook, where we stayed at Croom, for a moto-avgeek weekend. After some bush flying in my youth in Africa, some instructing and Part 91 Citation...

Absolutely, your cousin exemplifies how a professional pilot conducts themselves! How does that old saying go? "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots; however there are very few old bold pilots!" Joe

Not a pilot, but I spent a year as door gunner on UH-60 Blackhawks in Iraq. I almost went warrant officer to be a helicopter pilot, but decided to stick with the electrical field and became 12P Prime Power. I miss flying in helicopters though.

I retired in March of ‘24, but I flew flight engineer on the 727, then right seat for a short time, then 737, 777, 787, and back to the 777. I used to ride MX and HS, but after my back surgery a few years ago, I don’t have the leg strength or balance to ride. I miss it every day. The highest I got was 43,000ft and that was only because we were ferrying an empty 777 back to Houston from Chicago.

I flew floatplanes for years and then was a Dash 8 captain at a regional for a few years. Now I’m a FO on a 787. Live and ride in Canada. I don't really ride mx much anymore but I do race harescrambles. I went riding in Dubai last winter on a layover with another one of my crew. That was pretty an awesome experience. I’m always looking at the MXGP calendar and trying to figure out a way to make it work on a layover. There’s a few guys I fly with who ride.
