KR is NOT vaccinated. He discussed it on the Pulp show Monday night. The rant stemmed from the fact that if a rider were to falsify a vaccine card to avoid being tested, then they could race even if they had it and spread it around. He isn't pushing for the vax to be forced, just to make sure those who aren't vaxxed are getting tested.
This post was the mind-f^ck of the year. I had Courtney's rant about fake cards so planted in my head that she was shaming folks for cheating, for the completely opposite reasons than I assumed. Mind-blown... LOL

Thank you for sharing Cool

But if a company still decides to mandate it (not the government) and an employee sues the company with the lawsuit going all the way to the Supreme Court, who do you think will win that case? Hint: Not the company.

Companies are much better off just encouraging and incentivizing vaccines as opposed to mandates, its just that simple.

I can see a post career lawsuit coming.
Ken said on pulp it was actually something that got "triggered" from the lime-gate race. He had a reaction from the lime and that started triggering his immune issues that he experiences now. Pretty crazy stuff actually for Kenny.

It’s quite easy, if Feld has created a rule that they have no intentions of properly implementing or policing invalid vax certificates, then it doesn’t really need the rule. It doesn’t achieve anything.

Get rid of the unfair and unjust rule and just go racing.

You realize Davies has myocarditis from actually getting the virus, not from the vaccine right?

I think previously he had talked about how all of the 2017 surgeries and subsequent antibiotic treatments had really messed him up, and this opened him up to have a really bad reaction from the lime For sure his body has been through a lot from a systemic standpoint, even prior to the lime shitshow. Didn't he have compartment syndrome after one of the surgeries as well? With the state of superbugs like MRSA and VRE basically endemic in hospitals worldwide, post-op antibiotics are more and more the norm.

J-Mart too, also had a rough go with post-op infection and heavy antibiotic treatment with his back. And Plessinger with his ankle in 2019, he had major wound healing issues.

Yes, I did. Also he's from Canada so fits the north America status.. I was being mischievous and showing how easy it is to bend the truth to fit a narrative.

Bob,
It’s a bummer that there is not enough information out there about the actual facts. Nobody knows who/ what to believe anymore. We all have our own opinions on all this mess (I’m sure we are on the same page), but some of the people who think that they are “RIGHT” and everyone else is wrong, are really starting to get under my skin.

People in general need to stay in their lane !
Ironically, I think you’re describing yourself as a person who thinks that they are right and everyone else is wrong. A lot of cognitive dissonance with you

Look at the charts. People are getting it everywhere. He wont be the only one. And if he had the shot he can still get it. Just maybe less symptoms or none at all.
But…. For those who get vaccinated, they no longer have to test and “if” they catch it, they can still race.

Stupidest rule ever !!!
That is so stupid. Most people i know are vaxxed and most of them including myself still got covid.

Fair enough. I agree with that. I’d be curious how many factory Oems would risk firing a rider over it if they did have that mandate.
OEM's should not and would not be "forced" to fire anyone who is unvaccinated. The only thing the employee would have had to do, as an unvaccinated employee is undergo weekly testing for COVID-19, and as long as they tested negative they would be good to go. They would need to wear a mask while at work, as well. Simple as that.

Not saying I agreed with the proposal of law, but that was a basic breakdown of the mandate. In my opinion one of the worst parts of the proposal of law was that the mandate would have only affected employers who had 100 or more workers. That is bullshit! If the government is going to force you to implement a law, then it needs to apply to ALL businesses.

Super bummed for JB, this isn't right or fair at all.

I don't care what side of the fence you're on but if something like this would have happened to a rider 2 years ago, every single one of us would have said that this is crazy!

But here we are, and to me that's the scariest part of this all.

Unless you have a valid personal health reason that prevents being vaccinated, vaccination is a public health benefit. Even if you still get sick you will not clog up the ICU's for people who need them for heart attacks , accidents, and other major health issues that would land you in the ICU.

It really shouldn't be a matter of being forced or coerced but doing your part to maintain a viable healthcare system. Delaying nonemergent or extremely critical care because the ICU is full is happening nearly everywhere in the US now. That is a terrible terrible thing. When you need health care , you need it!

With that said I am fully on board to just test everyone in SX and call it good.
Dude… please stop. Nobody needs your lectures at this point. We all know someone with all the knowledge and most are sick and tired of hearing...
Dude… please stop. Nobody needs your lectures at this point. We all know someone with all the knowledge and most are sick and tired of hearing it. So sick and tired of people like you telling others what we should do. Give it a rest
Yet, here you are lecturing someone(who is educated on the subject and has firsthand knowledge/experience), in an open forum, on the exact thing you are arguing against

Totally agree. It’s insane to think that someone like Brayton could very well have caught it from a vaxxed rider that doesn’t have to test.

With the money that is on the line for these guys, I guarantee that if a vaxxed rider started having a fever, sore throat, etc, that they 1. sure as hell aren’t going to take a test (or at least tell anybody about it,) and 2. start pumping the Tylenol, DayQuil, etc to minimize their symptoms and line up.

A dumb rule, indeed.

In the Uk Everyone with a compromised immune system was vaccinated first as they were deemed highest priority.

Guess what the big knock on effect was ? No more lockdowns & restrictions. Hospitalisations went massively down.

A true medical reason to not vaccinate someone is incredibly rare, they have multiple vax options now so to have a medical reason to avoid all of them is practically non existent.

Holding Brayton out is the right thing to do, can't risk an outbreak in the pits with riders like Roczen having compromised immune systems. It sucks but you HAVE to protect your riders.

Whats BS is Vaccinated riders not having to test. Even with a lighter viral load and a lower chance of transmitting they still can. Everybody should be tested at each race.

The NFL came up with a fairly good policy in my opinion. If you are vaccinated and test positive you have 2 days until you can test again up until 24 hours of the game. Not sure if Brayton was vaccinated but if he did and shows no symptoms he could have been cleared on Friday. I could care less if you choose to get a shot or not but if my career depends on it I'm getting what is basically a flu shot. I honestly can't believe we are in our 2nd year of this crap and still fighting about it.

I'm not vaccinated but if my job required it I sure as hell would just get it over with. The fact that Brayton and other riders are willing to throw away their paydays and championship hopes for the sake of a few jabs is totally baffling to me.

This thread needs to get nuked.... Bad, Michael. There is so many people chiming in here that are simply lying out of their asses, including their places of employment. Everything that has been said in this thread has been already said at least 100 times, we have heard it all. Unless it relates to racing, it is just more opinion vomit. Clearly there is people that do not want to move on (sad) and will lie out of their asses to try to keep the flames going.

There is a lot of people here that were singing a different tune 2 years ago that have learned and moved on, it kills me to see these trolls and leeches spewing nothing but opinion and stories to try to drag them back down. Evil IMO.
