Yep. I'm a truck driver and I've got a close buddy who's well-connected in the industry, so he knows what the pay is like. I'd probably have to take a $30k-40k cut in annual salary to take this Star job. And, as you say, all of those ancillary duties, being over-the-road for months on end, etc. It just doesn't seem to be worth it for an experienced driver. I'll keep watching races on Peacock and go to a couple per year.

I started doing them early in Pro Motocross this year.

Seems kind of pointless to be watching qualifying session 2 while the only times displayed on screen are from session 1. It gives no insight as to what is currently happening on track.

I think the complaint is that part of the fan experience of going to a pro race is going to the pits, getting a look at exotic machinery up close, and watching teams operate. Sometimes mechanics, riders, and staff may step out/interact with fans. Now that is all enclosed in essentially a portable office building at which you get the privilege of peering through some sealed, tinted windows. It is sterile and corporate, and reminiscent of some other sports where the athletes and the organizations are just too important to even be near the common folk.

It's not very complicated. If you love photography and love motocross how could you stop yourself from photographing motocross? It's immense fun and anticipation of the "next shot" with racing is like panning for gold

As others have said, it'd be pretty damn cool to see #3 and #94 together on Suzuki.

He should start his own team on Yamaha, supported by star. Cabela's ET3 Monster Yamaha He is an absolute legend of the sport, im sure if he reached out to potential sponsors he might be surprised who is willing to back him. Get some backup from the US Army / Navy recruitment side, have a half camo Semi - that would be badass and drive referals.

I'm old school. For me and my buddies, there is no better racing than split screen MX vs ATV...

Not sure what unit of measure y'all are using but my coot coot will have more moisture and deeper ruts then this Seattle track tonight.
