We need qualifying points in supercross. Either 1 point for number 1 qualifier or 3,2,1 for the top 3.

You don't need to rev your four stroke to the limiter repeatedly while waiting on the 30 second board to turn...

I was just at a local Arenacross race in Pa this weekend. Out of around 600 riders, there were as many SSR 450s as there were Suzuki 450s....1 of each.

IMHO: Motocross was better when the tracks were rougher with less jumps.

Carmichael shouldn't have got his 25 points back when he was docked for using illegal fuel in 2006.

Carmichael’s fuel failed to pass the AMA lead test. Was he disqualified as Jeff Emig had been in 1996? No. Was he penalized 25 points as David Vuillemin, Chad Reed and Tyson Hadsell had been in 2004? No. Was he disqualified as Michael Byrne and James Stewart had been in 2005? Nope! Instead, the AMA fined Ricky, and he got to keep his finishing position, purse money and AMA points. Why? Favoritism. The 25 points that Ricky got to keep earned him the 2006 Supercross Championship, which he won by two points over James Stewart—but with an honest sanctioning body, he would have lost by 23 points. The AMA’s rule enforcement has always been a joke, but this special treatment was a disgrace.

Agreed. James and Chad both scored 336 points to Rickys 338. I guess that is one of the many examples of the powers of Roger DeCoster.

Shifting gears away from the tracks a little..
Side by sides are bad for the sport and suck balls. They’re fucking up the deserts, 90% of the people who drive them are clueless newbie wannabe idiots with no skill or off-road courtesy or awareness whatsoever. Their kids won’t ever learn to ride or get the off-road or dirt bike bug because riding around in the back seat looking at their phones will never give them the excitement and sense of accomplishment as riding a dirt bike. They truly are the boogie boards of off road. Just like what boogie boards did to surfing, side by sides are doing to the desert. Making it overcrowded and more dangerous.

Waiting for and watching Jeep’s crawl over some rocks at a snails pace with 3 spotters yelling directions is worse than watching paint dry
100% agree. So many trails here that are being destroyed by them. Too wide for a 50” trail? Screw it! They try to push their way through anyway and we find them wedged in between trees a mile or so in. And it’s a damn joke to them. Laughing about it as they look at their destroyed wheel that they just crushed against a tree. And yep, I’ve seen countless of them with kids in the back seat looking bored as hell, staring at an iPad.

Permanent numbers are stupid.

450 4 strokes make it too easy for guys to jump shit they have no business jumping.

Local tracks need more experienced flaggers even if they have to charge more.

Guys on message boards should only type shit they'd be willing to say face to face.
Agreed on every count...but the last one will never, ever, ever change. Internet tough guys will always be internet tough guys. Stupid is as stupid does.

2 classes, 1 displacement… everyone races a 250f until we go electric. Saves R&D money and maybe teams like PC run both classes.

Eliminate east / west championships. Make them race all rounds for a stacked class!

More triple crown races.

Pit bike racing the evening before a National is the real event!

Money making 3 day weekend event planning around the Nationals will become the norm.

Understanding and utilizing soil science will be the next progression in track management.

We have a guy here locally that revs his KTM350 up like he's got an ill-jetted KX125. Drives everyone nuts.

This one will piss a lot of people off...

A single-tabletop-single or a tabletop-single single cleared in a single leap, is a triple not a quad. It's based on the number of mounds of dirt, not the number of "potential" landings.

Pourcel came off of 2 sx series titles and wanted 700k a year, more than RV re signed for. They tried to negotiate, he told them no.

He tested a Geico Honda, loved it but they only offered bonus money so he said no.

He tested the Valle Yamaha, hated it but they offered him a good salary so he took it.

They hired Wiemer because he rode for the right amount, they continued to rehire him because he was a great test rider.

The Pros don't make enough money, you have top 10 dudes who forfeit the little amount of salary they get just to continue racing

-Eli Tomac was the fmotp when he was on Honda and would have had a better career if he never left.

-His shoulder injury season was the fastest anyone has ever gone.

Having another MXON @ Red Bud four years after the first one is pretty lame, as it dilutes the experience of the first one. It really is about the money is it not?

Four strokes have ruined Motocross.

Saturday nationals should be held on Sunday, and should include a 125 Junior pro class, two motos, second mote after 450's done- I'd stay to watch it.

It used to be a badge of pride to become an A rider, now it's a badge of pride to sandbag C class.

Woman's motocross is boring to watch unless you have skin in the game.

Riders Meetings could be handled by memo. *And I’ve yet to meet any riders there, just one guy yelling at all of us, sometimes with a bullhorn, usually pissed off.

1.The homologation rule sucks. Bikes should be subject to tech inspection, and if they pass then that should be all that is required. Smaller, boutique brands like TM should be allowed to compete.

2. Roczen is the greatest to ever swing a leg over these hogs we all love so much.

Gotta blow'er out... get it cleaned out !!!!

Don't ask what, exactly, is being blown or cleaned out !!!! It just is !!

OK - only exception, you are allowed to do no more than 2x 5sec rev-limiter runs to vibrate the dried mudd off the bottom of the fenders before pulling onto a concrete start !

coloring your stock parts does not classify your bike build as “ultimate”

Any build with tusk parts are automatically disqualified from ultimate status.

Def need that CF sauce. It's what makes it good. I buy the sauce they sell in stores and use it on everything.
