Back when I was a kid, I was pitted near a team Honda box van one day during the last days of Saddleback park on a Wednesday in 1984.

Bob showed up, rode a couple laps, came back to the pit and started yelling about how shitty, dry and dusty the track was, changed out of his gear and left.

Huh it doesn’t look that big. One of my uncles bought a old big fishing boat, we where on lake Winnebago and scarred that the boat was going to break in half. We couldn’t see the trees on the other side of the lake. There is lakes all over the state. We would stop at a lake driving to the next race a sat., sun, deal put a swim suit on go for a swim and wash up.

We live about 20 minutes north of the track next to Folsom Lake. This was our sky from fires north on the September weekend last year that is the weekend scheduled for this year's race. We're already burning and getting smoke.



Any time June until new rain late fall is not a great time for NorCal Moto even the best of years.

This drought is scary. Our pond is almost empty and we're on a well. The land was so parched it just sucked up whatever run-off we had.
But as recently as 2019 we had a surplus water year- hopefully this will cycle back around.
They are getting ready to cut off water supply to a bunch of farmers in NorCal- this could get ugly. Literally hanging them out to dry.

Wouldn't surprise me with drought, take a look at Lake Oroville, before and now.






While Lake Oroville is definitely low and this drought is no joke, those pictures are of entirely different areas on the lake. The first is looking at Bidwell Marina and the main body of the lake and the second is the HWY 70 Bridge way up the north fork where Lime Saddle Marina would be.

The desert seems to have a ton. The main well for the district in my town runs at 2200GPM for 20 hours a day over the last 16 years. The level fluctuates from 3-9 foot lower than it did when they drilled the well. There are also huge aquifers on the east side of town that they don’t pull from.

If southern California would stop mooching all of our water/natural resources, we wouldn't have an issue in Northern California. These plebs in socal rely on us for everything... water, food, lumber.

My work truck goes weeks without being washed. People in socal are so vain they can't go a fluffin day without their depreciated benz getting dirty.

They were outstandingly close to losing the whole lake during the spillway blowout caused by a rain event in Feburary 2017 which would have caused irreparable damage to the nations largest and most productive agricultural zone and would have killed millions of people. Lake O is size large by just about all standards.

Seems like it's been over 100 every day since June. Not to mention we've had fires blazing all over the place here so the air is full of smoke, damn near looks totally overcast and it's holding the heat in making it even hotter.

We've been going through a drought for pretty much the last 3 years. Much of Folsom lake looks like a desert right now.

Have you been feeling the little earthquakes over the last month or two? Mother nature isn't happy.

The surplus is just like a little uptick in an otherwise significant downtrend, kind of like going endlessly into debt, except one month you're able to pay an extra hundred bucks, but still deep in debt.

Hopefully those farmers were nut farmers, they're the most egregious. I'm not a fan of publicly subsidizing natural resources for privatized profits.

Go look at real data over the last ten years for Oroville and Folsom and you will see the big swings in capacities. Why the big swings, of course because they dump massive amounts out of both lakes to feed the Feather and American rivers which in turn feed the Sacramento River before dumping into the ocean. Once the Sacramento River dries up at the point it discharges into the ocean then I will believe California isn't dumping millions of gallons into the ocean. Until then California Department of Water Resources is responsible for the condition of Oroville and Folsom.
