KYB suspension: Check
Monster backing: Check
High HP and durable clutch: Check
Willingness to allow MXdN racing: Check
JM6 and ET3 former training partners as teammates: Potentially

Currently selling two smokes to play on for the fun factor: Bonus

If it pans out (I certainly didn't think it was a possibility before reading this thread), this would be the biggest elite-level rider switch in recent memory...Silly seasons indeed

Make an assumption, then trash a guy based on your assumption.
No facts required.

What are you basing clutch durability on? Your own hopes and dreams?

I'd rather see him go back to Honda...but...this could be interesting.

I agree that he will likely NOT get a championship on a new bike. The dude seems to rely HEAVILY on feeling comfy on his machine...hopping on a new one seems very risky at best.

He's already said that he's racing 250 for SX 2022.
Forkner + Cianciarulo is a good team.

A change of scenery is probably good for Tomac too.
If kawi goes forkner + cianciarulo they better have a good list of fill in riders.

Dude, just roll with it, you know what he meant. Why didn't you bag on the "High HP" part and post a copy of MXA's dyno shootout on stock 21 450's.

i think Eli can win on any bike. no biggie. people that think hes past his prime because of 1 season of supercross (3rd, lol). 19 other guys out there wishing they were past their prime....

kinda hoping the rumor is true. Kawasaki is well known for dropping talent after championships to have it come back to haunt them later.

*** If this is true, I'm wondering if Eli made this decision much earlier. A mediocre Kawi contract offer after an SX title and outdoor titles, and suddenly Eli seems to have lost a step on outdoors (last year) and sx this year. Do we all think that the field got THAT much better to make Eli look average?
Maybe Eli has ridden a blue bike once or twice {{ahem! jmart ahem}}, Star Racing wants to challenge KTM's dominance and comes in with a fat offer..

@toroP Exactly.
If there ever was a rider who deserves to get paid big bucks, its Eli. He's an all-time great and will very likely retire at least 3rd all time in 450 national wins, and top 5 in SX wins. He's still in the conversation for another title in both outdoors and SX.
How is that disappointing that he would take the biggest contract offer available? Thats what he should do.

And he watched Yamaha sweep the Atlanta TT this last weekend. When it's time to hang up the SX/MX boots, extending his career with Yamaha would be a great option. Pretty sure Eli could get the hang of power sliding.

I honestly do not know what he meant. Generally curious to how he jumped to that conclusion.

So ET on a YZ and AP on a Husky/KTM, would JA/Malcolm be on a KX?

Yami with DF and ET is scary for the competition outdoor.

Does this mean he will be allowed to race MXON now? If so that's a huge bonus if he goes to blue. I was always confused whether it was him or really Kawi not wanting them to do it. I could see Star wanting to go all in for MXON.
