The first JMX race was this past weekend. It didn’t appear that any of the brands had new designs from what I could tell.

They will race the new bike or test new upgrades in the JMX series before launching production. You’ll typically get spy shots from Japan several months before the stuff is shown officially.

Yeah, production chains are not typical these days, though. Of course, you'd hope they have a prototype of any new 2022s by now...

I think you'll be able to buy an Italian one soon....I'm sure Beta will release a 350 race bike and it will surely take a bite out of Jap 450 sales.

Yamaha is really stupid for not making a 350. If they slimmed up the blue pig with an all new YZF350 it would be my next bike.

Suzuki needs to revamp value over technology. A 4500 Rm 125. Steel frame, good suspension... don't care about grips, bars, pegs, seat cover or any other point of contact, people replace that anyway.

I guess I just described bikes from the 90s. 😃

They already represent good value. Just clean up the few things that testers universal claim are off (off-target base suspension settings), and make the "rebates" they were handing out part of base pricing.

Yes, how dare they not make a model that will sell 100 units a year

Sounds about right.

I'm just surprised that we are half way through April and really haven't heard much about 2022 models.

Also, when you have a 250f as powerful as Yamaha, why do you need a 350

I have a buddy who's ridden the new bike quite a bit, he tests for KTM group. Also have other friends inside the KTM group in different capacities.

From what he says, 2022.5 FE's will be all new and 2023 will follow suit for standard KTM/Husky/GasGas. Apparently there's some pretty radical changes as far as electronics, as well as suspension. He stated the improvement is much greater from 2022 to 2023 than 2018 to 2019 was.

Not earth shattering info here, but thought I'd say what I know from sources I trust.

According to vital thread, the rmz450 will be all new for 2021. Electric start 10, 20lbs lighter etc. But it could be 2022 model or 2023?

Also, there was a thread on here back around 2010 that the rm125 was being re-released so all your prayers will be answered... at some point for sure, definitely maybe.

To be factual, KTM sold 843 350 SX's in the last 12 months, 254 less than the year before. Suzuki sold 911 RMZ250's in the same time period for comparison. If you add in the white and red versions, its only another 500 units in the past 12 months.

At the end of the day this is a business and nobody is looking at building a bike that currently sells 1300 units a year. Its a great bike and is perfect for the non-skinny vet guys, but until they have a class for 350's only, you're probably not going to see a major investment from any other OEM. They are like the 150cc two strokes (483 sold last year), great bikes and Vets love them but with no real racing class they don't sell many.

And to respond to the blue pig statement, America must be one big blue pig loving country because the YZ250F and YZ450F outsell every other bike in their category.
