just put in my order for a 2027 300 yesterday, KTM. Dealer said they expect the 27's to start rolling in in May, as in next month. so, I expect a KTM press release on 2027 models soon...Would have liked that KX but done waiting. Will be riding instead!

I’ve seen a few videos of people having reliability issues with the kx250, anyone else having problems?

Congrats. I think you'll like it, Just one practice session in, but suspension is very plush, and the motor has a ton of torque on bottom. Didn't really run it out yet because still in break-in mode. The bike corners well and has excellent stability at higher speeds. They can be a little tough to find. I ordered mine in November and it came in (a little earlier than anticipated) in late January.

Agree. To me, for non racers, the YZ 250 is the ultimate bike in every single aspect. Hence why I ride one

Funny how no one ever mentions all the other precision parts that will eventually need replacing in the F1 4T engines - oil pumps (and if that pump fails you're pretty much looking at total engine replacement), valve train (with motion transfer parts), worn out/damaged heads, etc., etc. This is why they are essentially disposable dirt bikes - they reach a point where it costs far more to rebuild them than what they're worth... and this is part of the sales plan. The OEMs make much more on them than 2Ts.

Is Procurcuit selling those air max covers? Or anyone else? I know the stk one can just be moded, just thinking it would be a cleaner design if mfg wit vent holes!

lol I’ve always said if someone made a machine that mimicked a motocross race , it wouldn’t sell because it would be to hard! But I guess the closest thing is a rowing machine

^^ This except no crushed talus. A Concept2, a Mtn Bike, and a heart rate monitor. Sometimes I even use them. I don't like weights cause they are heavy, and I don't like cardio because it makes me tired. Unfortunately at 53 I have to do something if I want to be at the front of the pack for more than a lap or 2. The best advice I've gotten is: The optimum time to work out is when ever you can fit it in your schedule, and a little is better than none. If you only have 5-10 mins...

Kind of like most vet guys our age, I had to give up running several years ago because of a crushed Talus (ankle bone). So I took up rowing with a Concept 2 rower and mix it up with cycling. Oh and try to limit the intake of Coors lights between February and August each year. Good luck!

I much prefer YZ250s over the 22' KTM 250SX I had. I think the 23' MC250 is 95% the same as the 22' 250SX. Yamaha suspension is to die for, and that old school neutral handling chassis feel is hard to find in anything else modern. That particular KTM drivetrain was the fastest 250 2T I've ever ridden, but it was all midrange and needed to be shifted like a 125. Do it right and the thing absolutely rips. The YZ power curve feels much more broad and linear, and it feels like I can carry different gears better in...
