I feel sorry for the dudes having to race him. Hes a wild rider and rides so close to his competitors. Watch some of his races from salt lake last year.

Just so you know I think Macadoo did nothing "wrong". Bad timing for everyone involved. My comment on morals has to do with how I was raised. Should've been acknowledged on the podium and apologized. Right or wrong. "Hey Mr. Medic guy that is risking his safety to tend to downed riders, sorry I accidentally hit you....I never saw a red flag and had no idea what was happening. I was in race mode."

The title of this thread and most of the first page were people asking for Mcadoo’s head because of what they “saw” I’m sure at some point in interviews you will hear Mcadoo discuss it....he didn’t do anything wrong the track workers did by the placement of the tuff block, by having the flagging at the beginning of the section and nowhere near the incident....rewatch the footage and you will see the medic with his back to the racers barely be avoided by Cooper and taking another step and slipping into Mcadoo’s path...there was nothing he could have done to avoid him...Mcadoo didn’t do anything morally wrong....

I've completely agreed with everything you said...my morals comment had to do with him at least mentioning it on the podium. I would assume you had better reading comprehension considering you're an "editor"🤷
You obviously have me confused with somebody else.....Again you will more than likely hear him say something regarding the incident...he hasn’t spent a lot of time on the podium and when you have 5 people telling you who you have to thank and you’re nervous and according to what some people think in another thread he probably couldn’t understand the questions that Will was asking him...don’t be so quick to judge him as I’m sure he will address it during the press conference or in post race interviews...

Well we don't know if he didn't.. Maybe he caught up to him straight away and apologised maybe the guy apologised to him for slippin over in front of him.. We don't know so I'm not ready to say he's a shitty person just yet

Have any of you considered the fact that possibly he was instructed to not talk about it on the podium? I guarantee you they did not want that mentioned one more time. The announcers never said another word about it either.

Could be. They never showed a replay of the incident either. There was a rider down as well and maybe they didn't want to glorify anyone being hurt.

I’m surprised no one has posted a video or pictures of the accident to prove their side. Things do look different in slow mode

All you guys yelling DQ him had the advantage of seeing the red flag on your TV. This guy is racing for a race win. Flangers pointing him in that direction and a medic runs out IN THE RACE LINE while the race is going. How about someone have a talk with him. The bike was shielding AMart and the medic ran him McAdoo right into him. He had no where to go. It was a bad situation that could have been really bad but open your eyes guys instead of sitting around on your leather sofas with pitchforks waiting on the next opportunity to yell CRUCIFY HIM!!!!

Did you fucking idiots look at the flash replay? Yes he may have missed the initial red flag, but before he plowed into the medics, they looked back at the section before, and there was not one guy standing there with a flag. The flagging is fucking bullshit. This is all on camera.

It's insane that there was no consequences for that move. Just insane.

I really like McAdoo and i hope he will have a good season. That doesn't change that he fucked up big time and got away with it. What he did should never ever happen.

After rewatching this I don’t believe McAdoo was in the wrong here. They had a tough block on the track blocking the inside line and flaggers/workers waving the riders to go to the outside. Cooper barley gets by without hitting the medic and McAdoo is just there at the wrong time. ALL the top riders continued to go wide in the same line.

Dude obviously didn’t do it on purpose. Heat of the moment, but this shit should happen.

How the actual fuck isn’t there a flagger along that straight?

That picture shows that both riders had more than enough room to go inside. Red Cross means “wheels down”,which seems to translate into go as fast as you can because your through the rhythm section. Which I think is dumb. It should mean injured rider ahead, use caution until the downed rider is passed, as there will be medics attending to him.

If they weren’t accelerating after rolling the jump, they could have taken the inside line. (However, the tuff block positioning was really stupid.

To be fair, it's been the same since I started reading TFS' site in 2000.

Hitting downed rider is not acceptable. If they do drop people just by jumping flags this should be least drop by 10 positions and fine for rider. Not hating Mcadoo but this should be clear to every rider from amateur to pro.

Look at this. He is racing the whole section that results in him going into the corner way too fast. Scrubs/jumps the triple landing. Then jumps/wheelies the 4 small jumps and then the carnage starts.

Look, i'm not singling out him. The issue is that 95% of the riders out there does this. They race the track during the red cross flags, this could've been just as well someone else than McAdoo.

There is a fundamental lack of respect and caution from the current set of riders towards the hurt riders or medicals. Why, i don't know.

Looked like the top 10 were still trying to go fast under a red flag. Dock them all.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but even under the Red Cross/caution flag, it looked like Cooper and Ram It were still trying to go fast as fuck, just with wheels on the ground 🤷‍♂️

Edit: which how I’ve written it, I suppose is completely within the rules 🤦‍♂️

This shit is why the sport needs some sort of voice communication directly to all riders. Obviously flags aren’t working

They hadn't seen a red flag! The leaders were past the finish line before it came out..
Why would they still be racing if the race was red flagged? What you're saying makes no sense

^ This. I don’t get how some of you guys can blame the medic when the rule book says:
Riders must exercise extreme caution and not race or accelerate in an unsafe manner until they are clear of the incident.

I get that these guys are racing with small margins and McAdoo didn’t hit the medic by purpose but that was a stupid move. Same goes for Cooper.

I don’t get why we need to play the blame game here and try to find out who is more at fault. It’s a shitty situation with a lot going on and everyone involved deserves some blame. They shouldn’t have directed the riders to the outside. The medic shouldn’t be running in the middle of the track where the riders are directed. The riders should have used more caution. It can be all three things and not just one or the other.

What if Martin had a serious back or neck injury? Could have paralyzed him very easily. Both of them very lucky the outcome wasn’t worse

I have watched F1. I have seen track stewards getting cars and racers off the track. I don't recall seeing medical personnel administering aid on the track with the field coming by. But I may be wrong on that.

This video clearly shows the track crew screwed up, Red Cross and yellow flags are at the beginning of the section on a double with nothing beyond so the riders rolled that section as they were supposed to and then thinking they were clear they accelerated back to race speed only to come up on the incident in the following corner!! The track crew placed a tuff block preventing riders from going to the inside and no flagger anywhere to be seen to direct the riders away from the downed rider. The medic runs out in front of the pack with Cooper barely missing him and then the next step he takes puts him in Mcadoo’s path...the way they did this directed the entire pack to the outside. If you watch closely you see one rider go to the inside and you see by the placement of the tuff block how hard it was to do that...all that with zero flags anywhere close to the incident. 100% on the track crew

I don’t see any way that McAdoo couldn’t have done better here. At least one rider managed to take the inside line. Aren’t these guys supposed to have good peripheral vision and good reflexes? They may not have been red flags in the area but there were enough flags to indicate something serious was going on. I do think the red flags should be given to the flaggers.
