I can’t help but feel bad for this dude...

Tons of speed, but his career is starting to look like Bogle’s and Savatgy’s without a championship (or nearly one - minus 17). Ever since that hectic Vegas race his seasons have just been full of injuries.

Legit some riders just seem to have this black cloud over them at all times. I can’t imagine the frustration they go through.

*Edit* Yes I know Bogle won a championship. Simply miss worded above. Essentially just comparing that Bogle got a championship and career has mostly been riddled with injuries since. Same with Savatgy (so far) but not actually clinching a 250 title and was close to just like Smith was.

Once these guys get 3 years into 250 they are what they are. There are some, but very few, exceptions. Jordan has speed and is an animal but he has always suffered from big crashes and injuries. Thats how this game gies.

I can’t imagine the emotional rollercoaster they go through. Put in that much work to just get hurt again and again. Bummed for him and the martins. Brutal sport for sure but we all love it anyways

He needs to retire. The speed is there, but he doesn’t have the comprehension mentally to stay within the parameters of a race. The results speak for themselves. This is a guy that’s going to end up permanently disabled from the sport. Before you bitches start crying and hating my post, look at the seasons he has put together. He has an inapt ability to concentrate. That’s going to get him in some serious problems the rest of his life. It’s sad.

I miss worded what I was trying to get at...basically stating that Bogle got a championship in 250’s and than its mostly been downhill since. Same with Savatgy, but never actually clinched a title.

As soon as I realized he was the PC rider in 2nd after the restart, I thought Shoot, he crashes in every race I remember him in.
About 10 seconds later,..camera pans to him on the ground...bummed for him

These guys should use mental coach to keep their mind in race track. He could have just played safe 2-3 rounds and keep moving forward then.

Easy Tiger! Might want to sharpen your pencil if you want to get a list going based on your analogy.

Surely he was able to “concentrate” enough to stack results as an amateur to be a highly recruited rookie???

So does everyone that crashes lack “comprehension mentally to stay with the parameters of a race”? Or do we just throw out all the other dynamics that is motocross/supercross racing?

Was a brutal track that took out a handful of bad ass dudes. Should they all consider “retirement” or is it just Jordan that you are singling out?

Keep in mind I like Jordan. He was my “hope to win” for the title....

All season, if he doesn’t perform, all we are going to hear is the lingering affects from this crash, followed shortly thereafter by how this off season he was faster than ever before......then of course a revelation of a another lingering injury the next time he’s on TV (or next season).

I hope I am wrong and treat Jordan is ok, starts crushing it, and I just look like an asshole....but man does the same crash/injury song and dance get old.

This crash not only cost him a shot at the title, but this will probably also be his last season as factory guy if he is not start winning multiple rounds.

All three mains have ended up with him on the ground. That one last night was weird.

He looks like he is riding over his head all the time.

Looked to me like he went from racing forward(while dicing for the lead) to racing behind him (when McAdoo caught him). He spent most of a lap blocking, then finally tossed it.

This is where a lack of racecraft in these Lites guys shows through.. fighting to the point of crashing to try and stay in a place you arent fast enough to hold, that early in a moto, is dumb IMO, he held up his team mate (and could have taken him out) and crashed as a result . Just like Forkner, you can almost set your watch by him lobbing it.

this is what happens when guys just bust out laps at facilities and dont actually race. . Poor decision making .

On the flip side , McAdoo could see he wasnt making ground, and dug in for third, and was smart when Cooper got to him.. You ride like that to win a championship you are in , not crash out of one you are already out of.

His career trajectory is sad. He's gone from almost winning the title in 2017 to a rider that can't do a race without a crash.

Dude hasn't been anywhere near 100% physically this season.... he has the skill and speed.... but those long term injuries are no joke..... shoot, Kroc would probably be 25 pts up on the field if both his arms were 100%, but they are not... he's like Baggett the last half decade, just hangn on best he can

I feel bad for him. He is going to get totally wrecked if he keeps that up. I get the feeling he is in a tough spot. Its a contract year & because he missed last year with injury he needs to show results this year. But he is currently injured & cant hold on. If he wasnt in a contract year id say he would take a month or so off to heal up properly then come back strong.

Yeah it's brutal to watch him hit the ground like this. It's almost getting to the point that he should take some kind of sabbatical in 2022 and try to regroup for 23 if he still wants to race.

I turned to face my buddy last night and said "Smith's probably gonna throw it away".... I got halfway through it and he interrupted and pointed to Jordan on the ground. I feel bad for the kid, he seems like a really hard worker but things just tent to always go the same way for him.
