I just reached out to Honda Racing management and Lawrence management; both responded, stating the rumors are BS, no further crashes or injuries have taken place, and he will be racing this weekend.

Cole Davis didn't win a championship so he don't get to pick a number. Cole Davies did win a regional 250 sx championship and he will get to pick a career number.

It isn't necessary if it's not askew, but it's basically loosening everything up from axle to triple clamps letting everything relax in an unbound state, and making sure it's all straight before re-tightening.

I always loosen it all up then spin the front wheel kinda fast and pull the front brake in and stop the wheel a couple times then re torque everything back to spec.

This is why they have all the age group classes. None of the fast kids race the skill level classes until LL. Race the age group classes at local races and they can't move you up.
