Jett Dungey 🤔

Man Jett sure looks like Dungey on the bike. Smooth, effortless and freakin fast. Nice to watch.

With his personality and ability on a bike he's gonna take over the sport like The Hurricane.

For me Jett is KR Jr. They are both so fun to watch ride.

Definitely more flashy. Kid is a star and will do well. That is clear.

Doesnt remind me at all of Dunge or Roczen. Ken was a mess his first 2 years in 250. Always oj and going too big on stuff.

His style is sick. Makes it look so easy.

I said the same thing to my wife. He looked like he was riding practice laps.

It's flattering to be compared to the greats of the past, but he's the first Jett Lawrence. Amazing.

Hum. This really feeds into the conspiracy. Rd left geico and reappeared on a factory looking Honda. Jet left geico and reappears on a factory Honda.

Similar riding styles

I think you’re onto something

Dungey was boring, Jett‘s the opposite.

Lol his style is not even a little bit similar to Dungey, Dungey was probably the most boring rider to look at

I love the kids personality too! Funny as hell. After his win, he didn’t even try to look all hard & cool...he acted just like a 17-year old who’d just won his first race. Haha!

Replace boring with precise and you've got it correct.

I too see some Dungey in Jett in terms of his body position. Regardless of who does or doesn't look like, he has a fantastic style.

I was thinking he looked like McGrath last night especially whipping the front end with that BMX style. After the race he did a kickout into a pile of sand.

I think if you go watch his 250f days, then 450 you’ll see that he smoothed out a lot.

On a 250 he was super aggressive.

This, a young Roczen. For me Dungey was more like Bailey 2.0.

He reminded me more of Stew. He was carrying a lot of speed.

I hope he doesn’t ride like dungey on the big bike. I was bored watching someone second to fifth place their way to a championship.

Top five in AMA records for wins....guess Dungey just got on that win list with seconds to fifths.

1. Ricky Carmichael..........150
2. James Stewart................98
3. Jeremy McGrath..............89
4. Ryan Dungey..................80
5. Ryan Villopoto................72
5. Eli Tomac.......................72

Very hot take there mate.

RD has 34 450 class supercross wins. He also has exactly 10 times the amount of 250 class wins as Jett right now. Jett and all of us fans can only hope he gets mentioned in the same breath as Dungey in 10 years time.

Don't let stats get in the way of what you're trying to say though.

If I think of RD, I think of the races where he followed guys for the whole race hesitating to make any attempt to pass.
He is a hall of fame rider and a badass, no doubt. His riding style was pure efficiency and he won the sx title as a rookie. However, he was often boring to watch and so were his interviews.
Look at the riding style of the next generation. Jett, Chase and Adam are a beauty to watch and I really enjoy Jett and Adam on the podium and in interviews. I am fan, I want to be entertained and they entertain me. Easy as that.

I loved that he didn't thank his sponsors. Jett will never be a robot.
