Just because he was a racer doesn't mean he isn't a blow hard on a podcast.

That wasn’t a dig against Kenny. I just think that based on results over the past 15 years it is a stretch to say that an HRC ride is an advantage over any other factory ride here in the US with production rules in place.

Long story short - all the "works bikes are so awesome" nuthuggers that think the factories have some special magic are basically responsible for this situation.

Every time a Vital +50C member buys a set of cone valves or billet clamps, or puts a torque wrench on his skid plate, the bigwigs at Yamaha take another whiff of their own crap and deny a rider the opportunity to try the stock bike, because "Works" is always better.

You shut your mouth when you talk about my cone valves. Smile

On the issue of whether Factory Yamaha F'ed up their bikes in the past...I think we will see if there is evidence of that if Dylan, Aaron and Malcom excel on the YZ450 this year. Don't have to argue about it here.

I love my Yamaha YZ450F! I'm riding it the most stock of any bike I've had in years. The right springs, bit taller seat, my favorite ODI grips, a few clicks on the suspension and the TP-3 map and it's good to go.

Side note: I've never paid attention to gypsy guy but what a tool he sounds like during Josh Hill interview. On the topic of Jlaw, he says Jlaw randomly wanted to fight him in a parking lot (when explaining it more, it sounds like he made that up to have something to say on the topic). Then, randomly brings up Pourcel having an issue with him because he banged a girl Pourcel was seeing. Wow, way to cool guy it, I'm sure Josh was super impressed.

Looks like he just uploaded another Sleeter video with the title "A KTM 150 is faster than a Honda 250."

So, yeah, clickbait.

Haha Gypsy catches heat on here sometimes, but I respect what he’s building for himself over there. I haven’t dove into much of his content personally, but things like his supercross companion show (in the same vein as Joe Rogan’s fight companion episodes) with Tyler Bereman, seemed pretty cool to me. Like myself, I know he’s just a fan of the sport.

I heard that when Chad Reed and Cooper Webb were teammates, that Chad was purposely giving Webb bad setting advice. When he was supposed to be helping develop the bike / mentor Webb.

This was when Webb was asking to race the stock bike.

I heard the opposite. Chad was telling Coop what changes needed to be made to make the bike better(more towards stock) and Yamaha told Coop to basically ignore Chad when it came to bike setup.

I seriously doubt Chad would give Coop bad setup advice

Langstons 2007 (2008) bike was pretty stock (for a championship bike):

You're memory of a 3 race sample size is lacking. On another level when Dungey was on his rear fender the second race of the season and he ate shit race 3?

Yep, Reed wanted to change the bike, but wasn’t allowed, and was telling Cooper want he thought was wrong with the bike, so ‘team management’ stopped Reed from talking to him.

Oh no not Gypsy Brooooo Tails again! Can not listen to that guy.
Why do riders even talk to this guy? I can’t stand his content. Every podcast he tries to act like the personality of the rider he’s interviewing and it’s cringy as hell.

He won A1 by 20 seconds and beat the champ straight up in round 2. Like I mentioned, you can’t say he woulda won the title. But anyone denying that was the best Roczen had looked in Supercross is lying to themselves

I'm not sure why this gets so much dislike, but he also dominated the 2 races he could finish at monster cup a few months before that. Had a similar crash to what happened at round 3.

Thats what people like, IMO, is guys going out there and sending it. Dungey rarely did that, and I dont have any memorable races that Dungey won. The only reason I remember the whole shifting with his hand thing is because people keep bringing it up on here. I've never heard my moto buddies mention a badass thing Dungey did.

Right, sounds like you may have missed a decade.

Dungey Suthwick 2011 - His Suzuki is in the pits and won't start, he's at the gate and obviously the only rider without a bike. Gate drops and he still doesn't have a bike. About 3/4 of a lap in, his bike shows up...he passes his way up to 7th and still gets on the podium for a day

Dungey Southwick 2012 - has a tip over and gas spills out everywhere. Some healthy gas burn on the nuts going on. He has to pit to refuel in the middle of a Moto. Comes back in passes his way back up to 2nd place and takes the overall.

Dungey is a 4x outdoor and 5x sx champ. This is 100% because he's a badass.
