Maybe at El Chupacubra ranch ? It looks like a great place as well and it was for sale this year.

Or both ? Woohoo

I bet a lot of these guys that have their own place have buyer's remorse. Barcia and Baggett both invested a good bit of money in their property for what? A couple lites championships and a few Moto wins? Maybe it made more sense back when you had trainers with one or two guys but seems crazy to have your own place in today's climate.

I would build my own place as soon as I got money. Moving dirt is nothing when you are champion level pay check.

The costs stack up so quickly to build your own facility. To pay someone like Sandbox 60k a year for the peak 6-8 years of your career and write it off is much less of a hassle than doing it yourself.

Blink and you miss the fun. Dont blink and you'll see there is nothing fun lol. But, lots of good, deep red sand/ clay base and private tracks all over. The Gills bros are from there. Few other privateer guys who gave it a shot.

How much is the insurance to have a training facility in your name and have ppl other than you ride on it?

This above, ML, is a very good point. The economics of it make the 60K a deal... not to mention the time it would take out of your day/ week to keep that facility up and going. Makes total sense to do it like KR and others.

Of course the other side of it is the land is typically pretty cheap and hold for a period of time and selling is usually a big windfall profit as the history of these facilities has shown.

Smart move by Yamaha. Now Swany has a home base and can really crack down. Excited for the team and can’t wait to see how well Ferrandis and Plessinger do. Please for the love of a giraffe make the bikes all blue

There's also the hassle of trying to be a championship contender, and dealing with pissy neighbors, like Reedy had to do at his place a few years ago.

I hated the black on the bikes, but now I have to say after seeing it a couple of years it looks pretty bad ass.

Stars ownership is based out of south Mississippi. Whole lot closer than Cali. I think the trend is just starting for race teams and manufacturers to slowly migrate east to more friendly states to conduct business in.
The trend is everyone leaving that place, not just businesses. Hell, even Joe Rogan bailed.
All my family and everybody I know there is doing everything to leave. They all also said that every business they work for is trying to move. COMMIFORNIA is headed for a collapse im afraid.

Didn't even think about DV. Is this move going to break him and Ferrandis up? It'd be a shame.

Bla Bla Bla, I've been hearing that from you out of state Rubes since I was a little kid.

It seems to come up here every week.

I own a company that builds commercial properties, and we are turning away work, so are my qualified competitors.

Whomever is leaving "COMMIFORNIA" , two things:

(1) Thank you! ! ;

(2) Send us a picture of all that snow in your yard this winter.

The only people that are moving are the ones that don't know how to make money in the fifth largest economy on the planet.

This state just passed Great Britain in GDP, and grew by 3.47 percent.

Why would DF go to Fla. He has been in Ca how many years now. Seems to be working for him. DV isn’t going anywhere.

So is RC going to be a Yamaha ambassador now?
1) he’s no longer associated with Suzuki
2) He buried the beef with Steve

That’s where all signs are pointed.

I think you might see some spares added to the green pile at the old farm.

Texas property tax has soared in the last six years. Gotta pay for services like police and fire somehow...

Absolutely could not agree more. California is simply amazing and everyone that lives there should stay put.

Idaho is the real hell hole you want to avoid, snowed last night and won't be above freezing again until at least May. The roads are horrible, schools are underfunded and don't rank well, cost of living is going up, wages are stagnant. This place sucks honestly.
