Kitchen is the real deal. Once pro I expect him to rise to the top pretty quickly.
Thrasher still had to agree to it, his contract was with Troy Lee. I think he was pretty happy with the opportunity to switch though, based on the interviews I saw.
Definitely the nastiest sounding 250's out there
This was my feeling as well
It really makes sense if Malcolm does not do a full outdoors. Move Craig over and bring up Kitchen. The kid has already smoked Thrasher every time he raced him at Mini O's and Thrasher is about the same speed as Frye.
That's probably a good thing
Yep, I remember watching him race the Can Am at the Superbowl of Motocross (1979 and 7th place) and the next year he was on Honda.
I'm wondering in what world 3rd place doesn't look better than 4th...
I stumbled upon this as well about a year ago and saw that he was releasing old vintage videos every week. There is some really good content there.
Totally bad ass. Just needs a seat cover and '79 tank graphics.
Owning a 450 means never having to say your sorry. If you only have one bike and like to do a variety of riding a 450 is where it's at. It can mean being very careful with the throttle at times, but man they're fun. I'm 56 and not as big as you and after ... more »
To me those bikes sound like no other. Kind of a VW buggy sound. I've never noticed the 450 sounding much different than other 450's, but the YZ250F definitely sounds different than other 250's. You really notice it when they are going up hills.
That engine sounds bad to the bone!
And two Hondas
My brother got one of these back in '69 when he was about 12. He (and I) never really cared for them. I was at a dealership yesterday getting some jets and they had one parked out front and I have to admit it was pretty dang cool. Not sure if they plan ... more »
He is harnessing the inner Broc Glover in him
Great signing! I'm guessing though that he won't ride sx this year and will start outdoors. A little confusing being that they let Masterpool go and he had been a complete gamer outdoors. Unless they figured he would just never ride sx, then I get it. ... more »
California is slowly losing everything. Apparently the legislators here are doing their absolute best, and succeeding, at chasing any and all businesses away. I wonder what happens here when there is no more taxable revenue coming in.
It looked like he slowed for at least two reasons: One to miss the cameraman and two, that path forced him to make an even tighter left turn.
I just played it back at 1/4 speed. He started 2nd from the inside and was untouched and well clear of the kid to his left when he cut over. We can all guess about whether it was intended or not, but it appears on video as intended. The race officials ... more »
