I feel you on this, but this whole thing is based on what’s best for the promoter, who makes money on ticket sales and tv ads/revenue. So more events = more revenue. And in the past, when a dominant rider clinched the title early, fewer fans bought tickets to the final round(s). Making an early title win impossible was job one for the new points system.

Jeezus people, Star didn’t say they wouldn’t go, they said they want the kid to get the screws removed instead of going. I wonder why it’s not JCoop? He’s better on a 250 outdoors at this point.

I don't believe Star was willing to send him. They wanted him to get that screw out and be 110% ready for A1 . Basically protecting their investment in regards to Deegan. That's what I was told.

The Jammer was awesome! He loved to get into competitors heads. I believe that neck brace was from rolling a car messing around at Brad Lackeys place a few days before the race. Whether he really needed it or not is something only Jimmy could tell you.

9/15/2024 12:09am I almost cringe to say I bought that one as well in '81. I thought it was a good bike at the time, but it didn't do anything miraculously better than my '78 250R. I still tease my brother to this day as he took it a step lower and ended up with the '81 CR450R LOL.

With Webb and Tomac phasing out at their pace i think Bobby is gonna start pocket digging to keep JCoop. If Deegan is his only rising Star bet for the near future he’s gonna need to double down on someone and why not the one closest to him. If Star loses JCoop who would they be looking to sign after all their 250 guys? Podium ready 450 is hard to come by these days since there aren’t many and Chase, Jett, Hunter, and Plessinger aren’t going anywhere unless he invites Aaron back which i don’t think AP wants comfortable on...

7/6/2024 6:11pm Yep, the broadcast crew just flat out missed it and sadly so did the flagger. I was watching Vialle catching Masterpool and saw that kid cartwheel right in front of them. I knew that Deegan was just a second or two behind those two and wondered if a flagger would catch it before Deegan came around.

You can really feel the kids joy and enthusiasm. I'd be shocked if he doesn't end up in some form of motorsports down the road. As far as the downvotes, it's wise to view them as significant as a spray-painted boxcar traveling the rails with "Kilroy Was Here" on it. 🙂
