You started this thread publicly calling out Bennick for what you feel are underwhelming performances, my post is complementary in comparison. He's not going to be the world beater you have been predicting, but he will be fine and have a long pro career if he sticks with it.
Whether I am a fan of Deegan or not has nothing to do with my post.
Yeah, I wasn't trying to be negative towards LeBlanc in any way, nor about Star Racing. In fact, just the opposite. The pressures must have been pretty big in order to walk away from something that you have basically trained your entire conscious life for. He could very well have seen that first year and realized that he just didn't want to do that for the next 10-15 years. Most 'pros' don't make enough to actually retire before they are 30, so the 9-5 grind comes for most of them. Maybe he just realized that he might as well get a head start on his car building business and not risk any more than he already had on a catastrophic injury.
Think about how many times people change their mind about what they want to do with their life, and it's surprising that more of the non-championship riders don't walk away earlier than they do.
These young racers get asked to make some pretty big career decisions very early in life, and often times there isn't much of a safety net when things don't work out.
This is such a stupid reply. My post was not "calling out" Bennick. Nor did i say he would be world beater. He has the talent to beat deegan, as i originally stated. No, i am not a deegan fan, son or father either one.
if i was in Bennicks shoes, i would play a kitchen move and get out of Deegans World !!!
Star 250s are not the shit anymore.......

I was in the process of posting this yesterday and then it didn't go through because of scheduled maintenance.
This sport is so mental. Bennick could figure it out and become a top dog, or he could fade away as a 10-20th place rider for a couple years before dropping out of racing.
Even riders like Tomac, who will go down as a legend, struggled at points in their career whether it be mentally, physically, etc. and it took time to build and get the results expected of them. Eli, he won his first national (O/A), then got toasted at Freestone, he didn't win another national until Freestone 2 years later. He was still getting top 5's in 2011, but he wasn't winning, or probably where he expected to be.
I feel bad for riders like Reynolds, Bennick, and Romano, they had fairly successful amateur careers, but it doesn't always translate to results in the pros. Reynolds is trending in the right direction. Romano may be out of a ride in a few years unless he can figure it out. He should do well at Unadilla, it's his home race.
So your saying that Deegan would be even more dominate on another brand.....
I wonder what Deeg's thought when the KTM pulled him up horsepower hill??
"You got a faster bike and I'm still over a race ahead of you in points, must suck to be you."
calm down.......breathe........ read well before you post....
it was never about deegan, nor i ever said there was a better 250 then star.......
false alarm !!!!........go back to your post.......and keep up the good work 👍
Come moto 2 when he gapped that same rider/bike by 12 seconds I don't think he was thinking much about it at all
He also coulda thought.... "Scoreboard."
"Daddy's connections didn't get me the bestest after all. They MUST be cheating......."
Do you also think that Daddy's connections got him over a full race lead with 3 rounds to go?
"hE oNLy gOt tHE StAR riDe cAuSE of the YouTooob FoLLOwiNg"
There's a long list of names who "almost made it". Hopefully Bennick won't be one of them.
Nope.... Not at all. Never said the kid wasn't talented. He is. But he isn't the second coming of Christ, either. However, he does play the "victim" card very well...... He is no JS7, RC4, King J, or Jett for that matter. Nor will he be...... ever. Talent, cash, and privelage, can only take you so far...... He really had his bell rung yet, or been put through the real school of hard knocks. When that happens, I'm willing to bet we will start hearing interviews talking about God again.
Ok........
Do you even watch the races?
Hasn't had his bell rung yet?
The kid has had several spectacular crashes and still got up to get podium finishes. He's got more heart and fitness than any other 250 rider right now and it ain't even close, that's why even with those crashes he's still giving them a beat down.
Fuck me.....instead of typing out all that bullshit that is so far outta reality wouldn't it be easier to just admit that your a triggered ass old man and want to hate on a kid because he hurt your feelings?
No hatred at all. Nor, has the boy hurt my feelings. Think what you wish...... I can as well. Good day to you, Sir.
Gonna go mow the lawn now.....
Pit Row
I've said a few times now that I'm not a fan of his, but he's clearly the fastest outdoor 250 rider this side of the pond, and top 5 in sx speed.
Odds are he's the 2024 national champ, that title doesn't give a rip what your connections are or who your dad is.
Star Yamaha fan, but I will say that the KTM most definitely pulled the Yamaha in a drag race up Horsepower Hill !
Maybe he thought.... "Damn, if my bike was that fast I'd have a 3 moto points lead over you instead of just 2 motos."
What was your best result at a National on the 125?
Hint, he never raced a national, well not in real life anyhow…
