Chases shock doesn’t fade when jett is out. When jett is racing it fades.

I haven't ridden in years so go easy on me if my thinking is off. 😐

Yeah. He ran it for 1 weekend in sx. It did nothing. He is not currently running it

Effective or not, it shows that they were searching for solutions to shock fade issues for Chase, just as other riders have mentioned

Yeah obviously. I thought this was widely known. He’s had issues since about round 2 of sx

Once again, we are talking about Chase's shock issues/rebound issues, and it still can't have anything to do with his MX crash this year?

I don't get how Herlings big ass isn't getting shock fade but Sexton is.

Its proof the GP guys are faster!! GP guys get more airflow due to faster speeds, so no fade! 😉

This will all become more interesting once Vialle and Sexton are able to speak their mind in interviews after moving on.

I don't think you'll hear too much detail from either of them anytime soon, so don't hold your breath.

That being said, Chase is about all out of excuses next year.

Chase don’t give excuses. He usually blames himself.

True, and he actually admitted the factory Honda was not as bad as what was made out so yeah kudos to him !

I'd guess it's all relative.  When the shock is ~300 degrees, that ~200 degree air coming off the radiator has a cooling effect.  I'm making up those numbers, but that's the general gist.

It’s the basic principle of heat transfer. It’s all about the delta and not the absolute temperature values.

Think about the cooling of turbine blades in a jet engine. The absolute temperature of the cooling gas flow is ridiculously high. But still lower than the temperature in the turbine.

Hard to believe in this day & age they could not resolve the shock issue….should have subbed out shock service to Factory Connection 👍

There have been so many brake failures now too, with Sacha being the latest at MXoN. Surely they can figure that one out.

There's nothing going on with KTM the bike's are fine, ask Herlings, both Coenen Brothers, Langenfelder, De Wolf, Everts, Adamo.

Apparently the problem only exists in the US.
KTM is not doing well financially, so one has to make choices in terms of contracts.
That they choose Coenen and not Herlings is easy to understand for the longer -term vision.
Tomac is the  biggest names of the American MX scene, so that's positive advertising.

In the FIM sanctioned  races they can run prototypes or full factory works bikes. In the US the bikes must be production based. Frame alterations are not allowed and the scope of other modifications is limited.

There’s not really any restrictions on what they can do with forks and shocks in the 450 class.

Well, at the beginning of this year the company was in the middle of bankruptcy and those guys didn't know if the rig was going to show up at the next race, much less if they were going to get paid or finish out their contracts.

Would you re-sign with an employer like that when you had other safer options?

fair point but Bajaj has deep pockets, the checks will clear just fine.

Had a talk with ”Grok”. 😄

Dont read too much into it, just had some fun!

Just showing the best bits, it went on for ever…

Last part is hillarious!

(Sorry for hijacking the thread and sorry for some misspellings…)

Sorry to veer further off topic but this is noteworthy... AI has chosen the best Thor line and I don't think it's offbase... I even bought the pink throwback set back when it came out in 2020. AI is starting to understand moto culture! What would AI ride?

ChatGPT: That’s a fun question — “coolest” depends a lot on what you value: aesthetics, nostalgia, innovation, rarity, etc. But looking at the history of Thor motocross gear, a few years stand out objectively. If I had to pick one, I’d lean toward 1991-1992, the “Fast Boyz” era.

KTMs chapter 7 screwed all their vendors out a ton of money KTM owed them.

Brembo supplier was one of them.
Who knows what other little parts from vendors being used are no longer the same etc.

All your riding is the same? Because everyone I know has good days and bad days. Those days where something just clicks and you could ride at 95% for an hour if you wanted to. It's the same for the pro's, they're trying to make every day that "feelin it" day.
