I remember RV saying one year Honda made him an offer but it was nowhere near what Kawasaki was paying him.

We have to assume the offer was made in the middle, maybe towards the end of RV's career right??

Well by that time RV have amassed a whole bundle more championships in bothe 250s, 450s, indoors AND outdoors than Adam has/will have done.

I believe it was after the 2012 season when his contract was up, so you're right he had already established himself as one of, if not the top guy in the 450 class at the time.

Yes it sounds like Sexton has the 2nd Honda spot locked down along side Kenny. I think Sexton has the right stuff so if AC was available Honda would pass.

Unless Honda wants to pull out the guns and field 3 riders? Not likely but let's see what happens.

Why do you guys think there's an open spot at Yamaha next year?

You want to know if the info from the foreign site that’s known to be unreliable is good? I’d say to trust your gut. But I also think you answered your own question.

Don't forget Ferrandis will move up next year and Yamaha will want to keep him over getting AC I think. DF has shown he has the speed and racecraft to beat any of the top 250 guys from the last few years.
Not that I'd have any idea, as I'm the farthest thing from an insider as there is, but wasn't there a rumor on here that Ferrandis wanted to go to KTM?

I like the idea of honda with 3 riders, but I dont see it happening with the kind of salary that Ken and AC will have. With the praise that we've been hearing Ken give for having Brayton on the team, I'd love to see Honda keep Justin on as mentor to Sexton. I think fielding a 3rd bike is still a long shot, but if Brayton decided he wanted to finish his career on a factory ride (I dont recall him saying that he intends this year to be his last) I could see Honda keeping him on in a test rider/advisory role.

I would imagine Dylan Ferrandis is the top prospect for 2021 and everyone else will fall in after he signs.

Theres no way I'd pay AC big money. He hasn't fixed his big problem: Crashing.

He only finished 1 out of 4 regional championships and barely made it through that one. Sure enough he gets to 7 races and hes out. He just cant make it through a sx season.

Hes a great 2nd rider, will win a race here and there but will usually be hurt and is unlikely to contend for championships. Might be different outdoors but that's what you'll get in sx.

I bet having AC on a bike for half a season sells more bikes than having Barcia on a bike for a full season.

There is no open spot at Yamaha next year. Barcia gets 3rd in the series, he gets a 1 year extension on his contract. Plessinger is still under contract.

Kawasaki has let big names walk before, so it would not surprise anyone if he did . The biggest being Stewart. No one thought he would leave the Green team.

Honda has Canard filling that role already.

I agree with you, I know everyone loves Adam but to this point his career is looking more like Trey Canard's than Ryan Dungey's.

Just a thought but AC had a good relationship with RV2 and now RV2 is with Yamaha, so ??????

this is grasping at straws. RV has little if anything to do with who Yamaha team manager signs.

Having bikes at the MXoN sells more Kawasakis than not having them there. Right?

I expect AC to stay green. That said if there is one team that could easily afford 3 riders it is Honda.

Monster the title sponsor of two factory teams will tell him where to go and I bet it’s green as they want their poster child with green like their logo

Surely this is a joke. Career suicide if that would happen.

Yamaha will cough up the big bucks to secure Ferrandis next year, with Barcia keeping his ride by the hair on his chinny chin chin.

It'll truly be "Team Le BamBam".

Honda may go after AC9 with an open wallet and field a 3 man team. Why? When was the last time they had a 450 outdoor or SX champion? They're reputation for championships in the last decade isn't at all impressive for a top tier team with their past.
