Why would JT or Steve care about Ping getting this job? Makes no sense and has little impact on anything. If anything they should be stoked because it opened up the RacerX gig for Keefer.

Glad you're back JT - your insight is always level headed and analytical which balances out Steve's hot takes.

I am bummed if there is beef between Ping and Matthes. Some of my funniest stuff Pulp ever put out was the Classic Commentary episodes with Steeve and Ping back in the day!

Not sure if I’ll miss him on there or not. I don’t even know the story either.

On one hand JT annoys me with how badly he over analyzes the most simple things. Is the sky blue? Well you see sometimes it rains and after that it....anyway you get it. Same thing happened when he announced the mxon, which kinda ruined watching it for me.

But on the other hand I love it how JT calls Steve on his BS lol. It needs to be done and it’s so funny.

Just talk to him 1-on-1 sometime. I’ve spoken to him at a couple nationals, on the phone, and through email, and as a normal guy myself, he changed my opinion immediately after our discussions.

The guy is a 100% professional and is still full of subtle jabs and has a great sense of humor. I can’t tell you who to like, but I’ll say JT is hard not to like in person.. not through a podcast where he’s limited on what he can and can’t say due to his current career. Totally understandable, and even expected but he’s really much more than the “what’s your opinion, JT?” that you hear on the podcast.

Steve is from the Midwest. Born and raised one hour from Canada USA border. As another Winterpegger, I am quite sure he spent lots of his youth in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Most of us did, whether for MX or hockey.

Taking yourself with a grain of salt is a pretty good personality trait to have
