Cooper throws some shade ACs way

Savatgy choked, AC just made a mistake that cost him the championship, 9 times out of 10 he would have been able to come back from that crash but this time the bikes was mangled. Sad just sucks that there is no next week for the SX season.

I wonder how Hannah would have answered? Something like "yeah that sucker blew it, no way I'm going to do that."
I don't know why these guys are expected to be so polite to each other?
It's the "everybody gets a trophy" generation.

It's not so much as being polite as being frank. I miss frank....wish he'd return.
Oh get the fuck outta here with this bullshit!! I'm 41 (today actually haha) I just don't like how Webb talks tough then hides in the truck (Sydney SX reference) There's being polite, there's straight talking and there's being a fuckwit

He wasn't being frank he was being sensitive and snarky! Seems to me he was upset that someone dared to bring up a rider that he doesn't like cause he got all the shine coming up! So he took an unnecessary shot at him..

I just know that AC wouldn't have said the same thing if the roles were reversed which is why I'm a fan of his and not of Webb..

I'll take "brutal and uncalled for" truth over fake respect or a lie. Yeah I woulda liked to have seen him respond with something more respectful to AC, but not if it was insincere. I'd rather Cooper Webb be Cooper Webb. Just like when asked about outdoors and saying "I don't give a shit about outdoors at this moment". That's pure honesty delivered as straight forward as it gets. Musquin and Webb's facial expressions, answers, and demeanor were that of a cocky predator and his overly nice prey. I love ole Marv, but he needs to learn some "mean" from Webb, or Webb is just gonna keep eating him up.

I'll take "brutal and uncalled for" truth over fake respect or a lie.  THIS 100%. I find it far more insulting when people sugarcoat shit than when they dish it straight. And I seriously doubt AC wanted any fake sympathy from Cooper Webb, of all people.

As for Musquin, if 2018 Southwick can teach us one thing, it's that people really, really HATE "Tough Marv!" Wink

I think Coop is working on some things as he grows up...class and respect included. I argue about this with Myers all the time. Myers and Coop have the same asshole gene. ?

I wonder if Coop and AC are friends? It makes a difference. Let's put you in Coop's boots and you just watched Dustin Nelson crack...you would have said the same thing, if not worse! ??? (isn't that who we almost got in a fight with somewhere?)

Webb never got the attention that AC did in amateurs, and ended up on Star Racing, not Pro Circuit. He was in AC's shadow, and here AC is still laboring away for a 250 title and Cooper is 450 Champ. Pretty crazy.
And a 3 time 250 champ. 2 SX and 1 Outdoor.

Wasn't it the SX finals his second championship. He won by a few points. Had he not passed a few riders close to the race end. The mudfest year. There wouldn't been a championship. Seems like he has a bigger attitude now. Sort of how he talked about Jeremy Martin. Guess when you are top dog you can look down at the rest. Can't be a whole lot of guys in the 450 class who are gonna be cutting him slack from now on. Luck will run out sooner or later.

Cooper seems to have tried to stay on the good side of ET3 and KR94 this season. Wonder how long that lasts in the Nationals? I think it is going to get a lot rougher for him. The other guys know they need to be aggressive with him now.

Sucks for Adam.... good kid. But he did crack.

What I'm offended by is that people talk shit and then cry and/or call their lawyer when they get hit in the mouth for talking shit. The same people that are defending Webb would be horrified if AC responded with an ass kicking like Webb deserves. You know, the same people that are constantly bitching about "Snowflakes", but won't go anywhere without their concealed Glock.
I disagree. I think all those who are good with Webb's brutal truthfulness would be just as ok with AC kicking Webb's ass over it if he decided to. Anything said that is truthful is acceptable. Any ass kicking resulting from not being willing to back up your mouth is acceptable. AC is a big boy. He can fire back at him, kick his ass, or just take it and do nothing if he wants to. It's up to him to decide whether he's ok with the comment or not, and up to him to handle it with Webb if he's not ok with it. It's nobody's duty to defend him. I say let the man handle his own business instead of a bunch of guys trying to handle it for him with their keyboards in a forum.

Look, Webb won the championship, but he’s still an idiot. Saying AC cracked is like saying RJ cracked when Danny Storbeck landed on him. Or Grant Langston cracked when he had the eye problem.

There’s a ton of Cooper Webb fans here on vital and at the races. I like AC, but he cracked IMO. It’s all the little mistakes that end up costing him a lot. If not for some of these simple mistakes throughout the season he should’ve had a super healthy points lead going into Vegas instead of 8 points. AC and Deano seem very similar on 250s, every year they would come into the season as the favorite and be expected to win the 250 regional title, but could never close the deal on it.

I like how Coop calls it how he sees it, it’s refreshing. Theres a nice balance between the two. I hope AC has his 450 deal signed, its time for him to move up even if he’s eligible for another year on a 250, AC is going to be really good on a 450 and I think the change to the big bike is going to light a big fire in him. AC and Webb went pro at the same time and this is Webb 3rd year on a 450 while AC has still been chasing a regional championship.

How in the world are those 2 instances the same as ACs? Lol RJ had NO control over Storbeck landing on him and Langston had no control over his eye getting cancer. AC HAD control over what lines he was taking and how close he was getting to the tuff blocks tho. Those were not good comparisons lol

Ok I just watched the press conference and my overall conclusion is that Cooper Webb cannot answer questions.. he either forgets what the question is or he misunderstood or he’s just an idiot. (Most likely the latter)
1. Asked what his approach was on the line after seeing AC throw it away?
Nah he cracked, I didn’t... - What ?
2. Any testing for MX over past few weeks?
I couldn’t give a shit about outdoors now... -What?
A simple Nah just had the focus on Supercross last few weeks to close out this title or we’ve still being doing some outdoor moto’s to get ready etc etc

Anyways he had a great season and I couldn’t fault most of his rides. His starts were great and just never made a mistake or had any bad luck.
Outdoors will be interesting.. looking forward to it.

Cooper's performance this year proved he is far from being an idiot. Many can go fast. Not many can put in the kind of year he just had. You can't be dumb to do what he did.

He did say he was kind of in shock. Sometimes you just don't want to answer questions.

Concerning his comment about AC. Who does not want to take a jab at your competitors when you can? Adam probably laughed when he heard about it and said to himself, "Webb is totally right."

They ALL crack at times. Webb cracked in the MXoN and that seemed to bother him for a long time.

Also, anyone who had ridden much knows sometimes you just go down and you don't even know why you did it. It just happens. I remember Tomac saying after his unforced crash at A1 last year that he can ride for months and never fall down then it just happens.

I think if the rider being referenced was anyone other than 92 (in the same scenario) then Webb doesn't give that answer.
agree, which is why I think it was a dick move.

If he wants to tout being a choir boy and thank the good Lord, he should act like it all the time, not just when he lands on the podium. That was a great time to be a big man and show he was over stuff from the amateur days and he failed. He didn't need to add "he cracked, I didn't:". Was not necessary at all.

So now that review pod is out, and Matthes, JT and Weege approving of Webb's comment, how many of you Sallys are going to change your tune?

I guess lots of people complained about Dungey being too nice of a guy...and now we have people complaining (and I guess I'm one of them) that Cooper is too much of a douche. Guess you can't win them all!

I do give Cooper credit for dominating the series, when it looked like for a long time that all the hype attatched to him was just that. Guess he had to find the right "fit"...and the right bike.

Webb has an ugly history with Roczen and AC, and a few Nancies around here sound exactly like what they are complaining about in this thread. For some of you guys who hang around these forums as much as you do...it's a damn shame you can't put 2 and 2 together.
