Pit Row
Just because you don't see a big, ribbed battery case like the Alta has / had, it doesn't mean there's very little battery there. Their way of packaging - Altas' - will not be the only way.
There's plenty of room under / behind / In the black forward section, and above it. Have a squizz at a KTM Freeride E sometime for where it's battery is.
But, as it says on the Bike itself : "Proto".
It certainly looks a lot more 'normal' than their first 'E' CR showing:
Now, Alta had some very, very clever people, and they produced quite a bike, but one would think that a company(ies) like Honda / Mugen (please note: I'm no great 'fanboi' of Honda) might just be able to do some very clever 'E' trickery.
Don't take me wrong i'm against massive electromobility campaign because the ammount of electricity required for road vehicles can't be suddenly produced... Although i can see myself coming back from my mx-retirement in my mid 30's and acquiring one of electro mx bikes just for fun.
Only if someone else than KTM and Honda would make those.
Well, it will be a while, they do sell a fair few Million ICE powered vehicles, each year. They are just "all 4 Stroke, all the time" - for the time being
