Could you see Belichick quitting mid year and the Patriots put out a message thru an ESPN reporter that he's quit because his wife just had twins....I'm sure that would go over with no investigation from any reporters or major news networks. Maybe this is why the industry doesn't want to grow this sport, they wouldn't be able to write their own script if real journalist started covering it.

Well i watched Jake Weimers episode on the spectrum series a few years back and he also said they built the bike just for RV2 wich is a rear steering bike and thats not Weimers style. Also they didn't let him really test or make significant changes to the bike. I was really dumbfounded when i heard that i lost alot of respect for that team

Jake wasn’t dealing with Kawasaki politics on villo’s setup in the 250 class.

Totally spit ballin' here but maybe there was too much shit going on that wasn't worth staying for when he looked at what he had going on at home. If things were rolling along at Kawi maybe he would have stayed. Like I said, just spit ballin'.
There is one universal fix for all of those problems.

I know that. If you are talking about his 450 career, then yes when he was on Kawi those were his best years. If you count 250's, then I'd say his time at the factory Kawi team was 2nd to his title year.

What was his job there? I thought he left when Villopoto retired to Yamaha.

I believe his official title was crew chief?

What? His “newborn” twins are like a year old now, so I don’t buy that theory either

Not the first time I've heard about Kawi not allowing riders to really dial in the bike how they'd like, which is so stupid to me I can't even comprehend it. Ever notice that every rider that goes through that team looks miserable?

New bikes need developed. Only time i recall off the top of my head of someone switching to the new bike and killing it was RV from 2011 to 2012 kx450. They need time and a lot of fine tuning.
Roczen 2017 CRF450. New team, new brand, completely new model with no race setup development. He got on the bike Oct 1st and less than 2 weeks later was dominating the MEC before he went over the bars. Then January came and same thing, won the first 2 rounds before his massive crash at A2.

Nope. His contract ends this year and I don't see him changing teams.

It was reported as Multi year, never gave specifics as to 2 or 3. Kawi has youth coming through, Honda needs a championship contender (Kenny seems to have lost that edge) ......no wing, no prayer for Tomac

You're probably right but If I remember correctly, the last contract extension was made early in the season.

I wonder why it's not already done if he stays with Kawa.

I don't have a clue as to what happened as I don't know anybody in the industry, but if there was an issue with the Tomac's and Mike keep in mind what is happening in stick and ball sports. Right now in sports athletes are demanding more than before and in most cases getting it.

Guys like Bigheaded Brown ( AB ) leaves his team and gets a lucrative contract. OBJ leaves his team (something he wanted). Bryce Harper gets a crazy insane contract.

So if it is true that the Tomac's didn't want Williamson around, then they may have gotten their wish. Tomac is the athlete, he is the one getting the results and in my opinion Kawi needs to drop this RV sh!$. RV is retired, and he aint coming back. You want a guy to win championships work to make him comfortable, don't force him into settings that worked for someone else.

This is all based on assumptions that Kawi truly does make everyone try to ride similar to RV or have similar bike settings and that the Tomac's wanted Mike Williamson gone, neither of which do I know to be truly factual.

Dumb post!

"Dominating"- Before crashing.
"Then January came and same thing, won the first 2 rounds before his massive crash at A2."

Continually crashing shows people how fast yo CAN'T go.
There was no 'dominating' about it, he was riding over his head & it cost him. Twice.

Furthermore, Kenny blamed the big-one on the bike- suspension settings too soft. Perhaps it needed more time & development huh?!

It's a business. Maybe Kawi didn't feel the investment would be worth the return.
