There is definitely a wide range of IQ's posting on this website. There are a few solid clues to those with low IQ's though.

I genuinely am curoius what the average iq on this site is. Sometimes when discussing passes, takeouts, rulings, its amazing how little reading comprehension and common sense there seems to be on here.

Other times, its amazing how intelligent some posters are about certain topics, that are way above my head. So it certainly is all over the map but I am still interested.

Are us dirtbikers dumb as a box of rocks or is we smarter than that?

I mean, yeah no maybe.

I guess those with a higher IQ don't post often on here. Since 95% of the threads on here become a mud-slinging contest, there is not much to gain by posting anything on this forum.

And with posting that on here, it is confirmed that I am not one of those with a higher IQ Silly Whistling

There is actually a formula to calculate someones IQ here on Vital.

IQ of member = 10.000 divided by (Number of posts divided by years of membership) --> and remember, brackets first ;-)

This may be the truth, but maybe not. But it's true, if it's not wrong!

Here we go, according to that formula my Vital-IQ right now is: 71.8
What's yours?

I don't think that works man. Mine comes out to 451, LOL.

I haven't figured out the formula yet either, but I think it is somehow related to the number of posts about the following:

1) Stewart returning at A1 or Hangtown
2) Mentioning Herlings in any discussion not about Herlings
3) Fanboys frantic posting about their favorite rider, and shitting on all the others

The geographical distribution of intelligence. Europeans having an average higher IQ than Americans has been researched and confirmed for over 100 years. North America typically average IQs in the range of 85 to 105. Europe typically averages IQs of 96 to 115. European children, average higher than all American children

If we turn this to Tomac vs Herlings or AMA vs MXGP we can get another 10 pages..

btw blond with red skirt is winner
Europe is pretty broad.. there is a lot of different countries there ?

Regardless of where my "savvy" numbers fall, I totally agree those three things are good indicators of a less than stellar IQ.

Lol, replies with "imitates the old man's moaning sounds"

A little ironic but that kid went on to serve in the US Army and did a tour in Iraq.
Forrest went to Viet Nam, it's a whole other country.

Correct.

Tire is 5, shocks are 2, piston is 10. There's only one shock in the last equation and you multiply before adding.

1 x 10 = 10 + 5 = 15

Same with America. It had the 3rd largest population on earth and is the 3rd largest country by land area. With that amount of people, land, being entirely made up of immigrants, and adding a huge amount of immigrants every year, you get a huge very diverse population in terms of education and ideas. Also as you get towards the middle of the country you get much more homogenous communities and ideas then the coasts are majorly diverse so we also have both working side by side in the same country.

This diversity is great for innovation as these different people living and working together bring very different ideas to the table that a homogenous society would not have thought of. That along with the openness of our economy allows us to lead the world in innovating ideas that change the world along with world influencing pop culture. Theres a reason the west is world leading with new ideas and asia is world leading in reverse engineering then mass production. China for example is almost completely homogenous. This means you dont get a whole lot of now ideas or thinking outside the box that you do in places with everybody of different backgrounds working together. At the same time everybody being on the same page means their production capacity is off the charts as you know what exactly your work force can do and you do that.

Then on a global scale the global economy benefits as a whole by these different ways of doing things working together to bring tech, innovation to the world on a massive scale. A great example: The West developed the cell phone, computers, the internet, and combined them to make smart phones. China took this idea and mass produced hundreds of millions of them and brought them to every corner of the world...
