Webb made a comment that the Star 450 he rode was a great bike. I guess that is kind of a dig against factory Yamaha.

He never looked very comfortable on the Zook and he had lots of spectacular crashes. He may have been riding hurt but his bike setup was also off, IMO.

McGrath almost won a title on that worthless dog turd 97 Suzuki. Either you're fast or you're not.

Kenny was fast outdoors on the RMZ.. After his dad chewed out the team and claimed the setup was garbage and unrideable.

What's funny is a short time ago Ktm wasn't winning SX ….

many were saying " when is Ktm going to build an Aluminum frame ? "

then came Roger & Dungey

I guess someone needs to tell the Star Yamaha boys how bad that blue pig isDry

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't the YZ250F and YZ450F the same body wise?

250 class is all about horsepower. 450 they all have plenty of power so the chassis/suspension is more important.

My 19 YZ450FX is the best bike I've ever owned, and it's my 2nd aluminum frame. I've had 5 steelies, and my brother has the coveted KTM 200 that I get to compare it to on the trails.

Yep, the new frame and bodywork this year to match the 450.

Webb's improvement is 100% the fact that he is now training at 100% vs 70%. His first day at the factory he was yelled at for being 3-4 seconds too slow on the SX track. The new workouts were so intense that he had to start slow and wasn't fully doing everything until mid December.

Ktm is a nice bike no doubt, but everyone I see that switches to ktm in the local scene switches back to a Japanese bike. The only people that stay on them are the fan boys. I’ve owned several for that matter.

Doesn't the KTM have more HP from the factory in the 250's?

I like our KTM, it is a great bike, glad we bought it and it has been a different experience.

However I have every intention of going back blue. Plan is to buy a 20 YZ250F and 450F soon as available...

Me too. I’ve tried two KTMs. A ‘17 and a ‘18. Still hate them both. Not saying they are bad bikes, but they are just...weird. I’ve been on jap bikes my whole life until recently. Going back blue or green for me.

So because someone sticks with a brand of bike they are “fan boys”? That is the most ridiculous shit I have heard in a while here. If I like how a Honda handles, I am going to keep riding a Honda...Not because I am a FaN BOy.

Bike had suspension issues in 15. Oscar came along after that and sorted the bike out for the 2016 season.

You know there is a reason for that don't you? KTM is THE bike at the moment. Yep, I'm a KTM fan boy, have been since my 72 Penton which btw was light years ahead of anything the Japs had at the time. I guess I could have rode a SL125.

Correct me if I am wrong, but up till Dungey I don't remember KTM wining anything in the US. Maybe in the early 70's but I don't think they even won a race in the 80's, 90's or early 2000's.

I have ridden several. First was a 200 SX that was for sale. I should have bought it damn! No plans to buy a new one but they are nice bikes.
