I have a massive single to table on my track that I land on probably 100 times each week thats bigger than that. That dude just got unlucky. He'd have been fine otherwise. Nice jump.

Not only that. Make sure you don't have Tusk wheels like me if you attempt to jump anything bigger than 10 foot doubles.
I know Tusk wheels aren’t top-of-the-line, but what issues have you had? Serious question as I have a set on my 125...

I doubt he'll be back to comment on that...

The jump he's referring to is a 5' single to table for bmx bikes that he hits on his clapped out ttr125.

believe it or not checking your spokes is right up there with gas and sprocket bolts (chacking the battery if you're riding electric bro)

Or we could just stop trying to save everyone from themselves and mind our own business. . .

If I had to pick one mindset that would make this country better, that would be it.
Way, way too many people with the nanny mentality.

Ciaran is a hard working, great young man and an accomplished racer. No doubt it was a gutsy move to try it on a 250, but if the wheel hadn't exploded he would have been ok. It was a calculated attempt that didn't work out.

You might remember a kid 4 or 5 years ago broke his femur on live TV in the supermini class at Monster Cup...same kid
Oh I know who that kid is......like 5-6 years ago when he was riding Husky 85's or could've been a supersonic he was out at Lake Elsinore like a month or two before the monster cup and full on riding the pro level Supercross track they had there on an 85 or supersonic doing every jump the pros on big bikes were doing.....some of the jumps you could hear him holding it wide off the faces of the bigger (finish line style double and the sx triple) that bike was giving it everything it had to get him over the jumps cleanly ....literally like 1 rpm slower on the engine and it sounded like he wasn't gonna make it. I was super impressed he was riding a full blown sx track on that little bike

I don't think this video got posted yet. It shows some of the moments before that incident. Pretty cool to see but not the smartest thing to do on that track. https://youtu.be/8BVsfZ8j268

Is it me or does it look like the front wheel was wobbling even before impact?

I just checked all four on my yz. That vet track can get pretty hairy when you're singling (doubling?) those table tops to!

His front wheel was gone after the first hit.

Are you really riding a Vet track if you aren't hitting 100+ ft. jumps? Didn't think so.

Still not sure on why they call these tracks “vet” tracks. Why not beginner track? What does being a vet have to do with it?

I didn't notice that at first. I thought he had just hit a big hole , but now that I know that front wheel was wasted......yeah , I can understand the wreck a bit better. Brutal for sure.

Cutting the track to link two jumps is lame.

This kind of shit is hell for track owners. For every hotshoe with the ability to pull this off, there is a black-plastic'd retard that almost kills himself trying to make a stupid IG edit.

If you can pull it off using the track as intended, more power to you.

He would have rode it away if his front wheel didn't explode on the first hit. The only reason he cart wheeled was because he basically didn't have a front wheel anymore. Look at his body position after he shorts it and gets bucked, he's not even going over the bars.
Or you can look at it that his front wheel would not have exploded if he made the down ramp.

Ballsy attempt, glad he is ok.

We were all there. That's how you learn.
We've all... well.. a lot of us have been at the track and jump something we shouldn't necessarily try. Is Ciaran okay? I'm assuming he is? He's a pretty fast A rider and it definitely wasn't some novice kid trying something he saw Axell do. On the other hand, I've never been a fan of these guys doing these huge jumps that aren't intended to be jumped at local tracks for less talented to attempt and ultimately get injured on (not in Ciaran's case, but in others).

When it came to doing jumps like that, I always asked myself "what is the point? Am I going to benefit anything from this?" and that's the ultimate reasoning I made to myself. If you guys remember that quad that K-dub was jumping at Piru on his 450? Well I was going to try it on my 125... this was before Instagram and "retweets" so I was just going to jump it to say I did it before my brother, but ultimately never went for it... probably for good reason because I'd probably be in a wheelchair right now if I did. Anyways all I'm getting at is think before you do something big, because most of the time it's nothing more than getting a fist bump from someone who at the end of the day has zero significance in your existence on earth other than to use your big balls to benefit himself from being friends with someone better than him at a dirt bike. Don't be that guy, on either end.
