Damn it. Watching him in his heyday gave me pure exuberance. RIP Brian.

Sad deal, he had a tough go at life after racing, hopefully he is now at peace and shredding in a good place!

Anyone got any suggestions for good races of his to watch? Seeing all these pictures of him makes me realize what a bad ass style he had

Got into moto in early 90’s and he was instantly one of my favorite riders. Loved his style. RIP Sad

RIP.

I have no clue how to make a tribute video but I could not do better anyway than these 4 minutes from Moto XXX, the best video at that time with Crusty and Terrafirma. Great talent, speed and style !

Ride In Peace Swink. Condolences to his family and friends. His segment is one of my all-time favourites.

Sorry, I set the video at the wrong spot... Fixed.

RIP Swinkster. he had an awesome riding style. remember when he shaved his head and had the goatee? Art Eckman was trippin on the "new look". Sick style on the RM with Answer gear in 1993

when I first got into moto in 96, I remember watching the glen Helen national and I remember eckman and bailey saying swink was out there racing with a 102* fever. that's crazy! ride in peace moto brother.

Not for nothing but it was the Pro Circuit Peak team back then. They were tearing up on Hondas.

R.I.P. Swinkster Michigan Mafia OG.
You are right, they were on blue Peak Hondas for pro circuit, and they spanked everyone. Cool

RIP Swinkster!

Often wonder why so many ex pros fall off after their career’s are over??? Sucks, whatever the case...

Growing up in the 90s he was one of my favorite riders. MC was king of the 125 west, Swink was king of the east. He had epic style on that Suz with that Answer gear. RIP

That's awful news. It's crazy that I was just checking out his old Peak bike yesterday at PC, then got this bad news a day later. RIP Brian Swink- his style was so clean.

CTE??

Man, today is a bummer. I just found out a bmx legend Paul Buchanan passed away this week from a possible suicide.

Brian , on that bike , with that number.....sure does bring back a lot of memories. Gawd man , there were certain days when he was " On ".....nobody on planet earth was going to touch that guy. Just sheer raw speed, precise , calculated and aggressive as hell. Kept thinking about this today at work , and just felt bummed all day. Lost a couple legends this week.

As you get older and friends, family, hero's and people you just know through being involved in a sport fall by the wayside, you start to wonder when your turn is coming.

Sad week for moto, that’s for sure.

It must be tough for these guys who have reached such high levels of sucess with moto, to then transition to just being a regular guy out in the real world. It’s a big change. It’s a tough pill to swallow especially if you have “what could’ve been “ thoughts.

Definitely deserves an MRI to see if he had CTE.

RIP Swinkster, prayers for his kids who lost their dad at 45.

Wow. Very sad news. Being a 90’s kid I was definitely a swink fan. He had such a cool style! RIP.

I got a text this morning from a friend about this. Such terrible news. We are basically from the same little town and my friends and I were some of his biggest fans. RIP Brian.

Funny story (though not so funny at the time). Met Swink at the hotel we were staying in in Las Vagas for the amateur national (around 1986/87). Met a few girls, went back to their room to get to know them better. Brian thought it would be funny to soak the table in the room with hairspray and set it on fire. Long story short...we run, they run, fire department came...we just say "spontaneous combusion". We were scare shitless......
