I just do not understand where the term “T bone” is being talked about. That picture shows it perfectly. Marvin’s front wheel is in front of and clear of Tomacs complete bike. If anything it would be a “L”, certainly not a T.

I hope Marvin goes out there and punts him again this weekend. We need a good rivalry. Hell, Reed was never fast than Stewart. He would just aim for his front wheel after James blew by him...and Vital loves him for it.

Maybe Tomac shouldn't have finished 8th that night. Just a thought. He keeps complaining about that race and how he wished they had the new points system last year, but instead needs to own up to his inconsistencies.

Big Tomac fan here.

It wasn't technically a T-bone, I think some of us are referring to it that way in general. It was an obvious takeout though.

Eli was in his line, Marv cut directly across the race track for a deliberate takeout. There was no way Eli could checkup, Marv took his front wheel out. Marv meant to do it he should have owned it.

This bitching about a shit show in Vegas last year with Dungey. Eli had multiple opportunities to take out Dungey, he chose not to. He could have done what Osborn or Marv did but did not want to win a championship that way. There is no doubt that Eli could have taken out Dungey.

In the end it's racing. Marv has got to know that he has one coming. Hopefully Eli waits until outdoors and puts Marv in a hole to begin the series. After the team tactics from last year and this move I would expect some retaliation.

It wasn't a T-bone. It was really aggressive, but I was also surprised at how Tomac passed Marv, then just rides like he has a 20 second lead. He had zero situational awareness coming into that corner. Marv has been pretty chill in the past, but you really think someone who just led the whole race is going to just let you take off? He left the inside wiiiiide open and got smashed. Marv did what he had to to get the win.

Both riders came out of it healthy and Tomac still landed 2nd place. Stop whining about it and move on.

The funny thing is that everyone would have done the same in that exact situation.

Every team out there.

And it didn't change anything. Dungey wins the title even if Musquin wins that race.

Photos one and three are the from the same crash. He was retaliating against Webb’s dirty moves that Emig, RC and Ralph failed to see.

Photo two is in retaliation against Wilson after Wilson pulled two dirty moves trying to pass him, with the second move pushing him (Tomac) off the track.

Photo four was a move for a title, at the last race of the season towards the end of the race. Payout from a title is much higher than the “$100k” payout from a race win, so therefore dirty moves are justified. An example was Osborne taking out Savatgy in Vegas. It was more aggressive than Tomac’s move on Dungey and was done for the same reason. Even RC said “Savatgy should never have been in that position in the first place”
If been wondering what price is the threshold for dirty moves ? Marvs pass for 100k is not ok, zacs pass for 500k is ok......so is it like 299k? How did you arrive at your conclusion. Thanks

And Marv said his move was for a 450sx sin amd the record books "where do you draw the line?" It works both ways bro amd i would feel the same if ELI put tonighta same move on Marv ....bittom line it wasnt dirty imo and Marv didnt force shit Eli left the door WIDE open and Marv went for the WIN, 100k and further up in the record books and you could CLEARLY hear Ralph & Fro talking in bias for their Monster supported athlete.
Was Kennys pass dirty? No, on vital it was deemed risky and stupid....but NOT dirty. Had Eli succeeded in knocking Dungey down in Vegas last year where would some of you change ypur opinon to?
Remember the MA800 and Tickle incident? THAT was joe-dirty bec he ajmed right for Tickle and executed the takeout if you look at the Eli/Marv Incident with an unbiasedb mind in slo-mo youll see Marv was aiming to take the WIN and simply showed he Flatout wanted it more Eli left the door wide open and when I took the line Eli cut down in life it is front-wheel he didn't aim directly for Eli's leg or ankle or Center cases he tried to cut underneath and pass him on the inside and their lines came together I'm sorry but Eli is being a straight-up pansy about this floating is grip and acting like a baby cutting Marv off in the press conference 10 simple if the situation was reversed you wouldn't see Mark doing the same I'm not a fan of either writer that is a neutral look at the incident and so if you guys need to calm down because is piri someone going for the win I can tell you that a lot of guys behind them that would do much much worse for a shot at winning a race And then what would you say?
Omg please find the period button your killing me.

Marv was the better rider that night. If it weren’t for lappers being way worse than usual he would have have 4-5 secs on eli and went wire to wire.
Was his pass aggressive and shady? Yup. Whether eli cut down or not, it’s doesnt matter, Marvin was hitting him no matter what. I understand why eli is mad and I understand why Marvin did it.
You lose me when you say eli left the door open. What was he gonna do? Flat track the inside at 2mph? Then Marvin would have took the main line and jumped by him off the double.
These passes happen EVERY week and no one cares when it’s an LCQ and some privateer gets blasted in last corner and misses the main. Everyone says “awesome”. You never see them in the main for the win because it’s rare that they are this close on the last lap.
Count on one thing, last lap for a win and this same result happens 100% of the time. Dirty or not this is what happens. Someone close these threads now please

Man, that post race press conference was hard to watch. Eli is blaming everyone for things that happen to him even though it's his own fault he hasn't won a title yet. I always like to compare Eli and Jeffrey Herlings because I honestly believe they are the two fastest guys in the world when they're on. Personality wise, they're nothing alike. Eli complaines and blames everyone else. You'd never hear Jeffrey do that. He might get pissed at someone but he's not going to sit there and act like a child during a prees conference and on Twitter. .
Did we watch the same press conference? Who did he blame other than Marvin for taking him out? Please give me some direct quotes here because I watched the whole thing over and didn't hear anything of the sort. Yeah he's definitely complaining a bit but he's understandably pissed off, or is he just expected to shrug his shoulders and say "it's only a dirtbike race"? I mean we saw how people here reacted when Dungey said it.

What The Hell does “#onelapryan” even mean?

While we’re here, why would you even drag him into this? Isn’t that Ryan’s sister-in-law that’s posting that?

For the Record: I’m pretty sure RD1 has some fairly substantial Supercross Championship Trophies ? on the mantel including his Rookie year...?

"One Lap Ryan" is what Frankie had on his pit board on the final lap when Marvin pulled over and let Ryan pass him last year.

Marv clearly regretted how he got the win due to the boo'ing he got and tried to back peddle. "I didn't know he would cut down" GTFO.. U cut across the corner. We all know what that means. That didn't work then he changed tune and said well it was for a win..

IMO. It was a pass for the win after intense cat and mouse. No harm done. Where it went to a shit show was flip flopping and not owning it. He would have been better off if he said. It's racing I was going for the win deal with it. And his saying well it's happened to me this year from Anderson and .... Again who gives a crap dude. Claim it.. like Anderson said. Shit happens it's racing.

Also Eli should quit crying and own this too. A simple see you next week with a wink would mean a lot more than whining about it. Then next week go out and make Feld remember why they installed those nets..
Well said... It's racing move on..

Funny thing is, EVERY guy currently in the top-10 (and a lot back of that) have ALL done what Marvin did and lots worse all for a transfer spot...from an LCQ, not even for a win and fat bonus check. Marvin & Eli do what they have to do to win races...that's what they get the big bucks for, not coming in second. I think Marvin was a little nervous at the press conference because he was the only one of the three up there that didn't have a history of riding that way...and the more he tried to apologize while not sounding like a pussy, the more mired up he got.

That said, Eli is the second coming of Chad Reed as far as whiners go. He needs to man up, dust his ass off & simply gun Marvin into the infield next week.

A dirty block pass shouldn't be allowed unless its Eli doing it Laughing That's the type of mentality he has.

I'm thinking that might be what Marvin meant, that he thought Eli was going to use the higher line. Instead, Eli cut down into the closest line to the corner to cut Marv off. IMO it was a combination of both of them doing something the other didn't plan on. Marv wanted a block pass and Eli wanted to cut the corner off from Marv. If Eli was in the higher line it wouldn't have been as bad.

It's strange that everyone is on Marv for it likes it's 100% his fault when Eli is cutting down in a line that wasn't being used as much or was newer than the higher lines.

Yep, I'm glad you see it too. Are you saying Eli didn't take that because it was the closest to the inside so he could take it away from Marv? That's my point exactly, that Eli took a risk taking the closest line and he probably didn't realize Marv was that close and didn't expect him to be there. It's not all on Marv, Eli chose that line to cut off the inside. If Eli took the next line higher it wouldn't have been a problem. It's all calculated risk and Eli and Marv both chose wrong at the same time and Marv came out on top. Eli is 100% blaming Marv and not acknowledging his line choice was a mistake.

Both of them make me laugh, they will fight for second place more than either will win a championship. It wasn't a cheap move IMO just bad decision and I don't think he intended to take him out like it happened.

I see a guy (in the lead) taking the lowest established line possible in a corner to protect his position and a guy behind him attempting to jump in front of him. Be it on purpose, accident, whatever the only reason Tomac ended up on the ground is because Marvin parked his bike in front of Tomac leaving him no option, nor any time, to adjust.

I suppose we just have to agree to disagree.
